Cleaned and polished the chrome and stainless trim on my '70 Chevelle, the bumpers, trim rings, grille area and window moldings. Made a big difference and has inspired me to go ahead and wax the whole car.

Opened the new Harbor Freight catalog, it arrived yesterday.

Their merchandise selection has become more attractive over the several years I have been using them but, I have more than enough toys.

made a custom support bracket for the back of the k.b. flowzilla blower on this heavy mod 331 stroker . . .

used my h.f. 20 ton press and the swag offroad HD press break kit and bent up some 1.5" wide x 3/16" thick bar stock . she is nice and sturdy . next will be fab the front bracket since there is no p/s or a/c to attach the front bracket to like the kit was designed for .

Played with my Grip n Stik pair of pliers from the 1920's. It was part of the tool collection in my parent's garage that I'm cleaning out.

Started pulling that damn transmission out of Project Little Red LS3 swap (into 1982 Vette). Not happy with myself forgetting to prime the transmission converter. But did find loose driveshaft U-joint bolts, so is that a plus? One day this swap will be done.

In the wood shed, not the garage today, but I finished up the shoe rack I built. I enjoy woodworking so much more since I have a wood shed now and can keep the sawdust OUT of the garage!

486a2b76261962e9eab50f7a36056074.jpg Picked up the steel tube structure from powder coat for my pergola build. Still waiting for the dimensional Trex to arrive but that will give me time to get all of this assembled on the back patio.

Well, if you happen to be mounting a 6" masterforce vice and your 1/4-20 bolts are just a hair too short....
Just turn the nuts over for a little bit of extra length. They fit perfectly in the mounting holes. Hey, I needed it in a pinch.697a3a8ceb37fab06673a70a118a1c71.jpg

5”x5”x3/16” tube uprights, 2”x4”x1/8” support pieces and 1/4” plate for everything else. I will post up a build thread after it’s finished. Started life in SolidWorks and just an idea and turned into this after a few weeks. Pretty fun project so far.

Well, **** biscuits & buggery ********. Spent a week doing mech stuff to the ZRX (carb clean etc) followed by two weeks of on & off detailing to make it look remarkably spiffy.
Today I added some gas to fire it up & it rewarded me with a knackered battery. Prior to the carb clean it would fire up right away, albeit only on 3 pots.
Decided to wake the fucker up by attaching a battery charger as well as the already installed battery tender...

FFwd 20 minutes..

WOOT!! It lives!! & firing on all four. Garage now smells like a Superfund site owing to a mix of 100LL, Berrymans B12, a couple of other volatile compounds & the stuff I used to spiffy up the engine...

Built some under bed supports for my SIL. The cheap bed she bought had plywood slats that broke. So me me being the good BIL, helped her out.

Modified my welding cart, by adding a top rack from 8020. Then I cut tabs specific for each machine that screw underneath and have tabs to attach to the 8920 rail.

That looks great. I impress myself if I can manage to nail two 2x4s together. I am much better working with metal.

Thanks. I've been building a lot of things lately. Built a couple desks before the shoe rack and finished a simple hat rack tonight.

'You gotta stop running that blue gas in it. :lol_hitti

Just a stuck float. Float valves may have been a bit dry, I'll see if it still drips in the morning before I pull the carbs off again.
On the upside, some bling arrived in the mail :)

Mowed the lawn and fired up the tiller. Finally leveled some of that uneven dirt pile next to the house. Still need to rake some more, but it looks 1000% better than it did previously.

Wrestling with the tiller is seriously making me consider mounting it the rear of my 704 Wheel horse. Is it ok to add a pony to a horse??? It's a Troybilt Pony tiller.

650 K&N filter swap?
I run APE pods, half the cost of K&N's plus they don't fall off.

Thought I had a stuck float, turns out I didn't look at the float bowl o rings when I had the carbs apart. They're done. They don't stick out past the top of the surface at all so weren't doing anything to seal the bowls.
Ordered four new ones this morning (damn near $15 each!)

Bike was running like a raped ape until I spotted the leak.

Today I cleaned her up a bit. Since having kids my garage Has become the bicycle, power wheels, tricycle, and scooter storage. In my tidying up I took my lawn tools and hung them on the wall with some screws. I also picked up a pulley to hang stuff from the rafters, but it turns out a pulley won’t lift it (too heavy) so I ordered a cheap rope block and tackle hoist off of amazon. This free’ed up enough room for me to build a work bench. Picked up the lumber for that, and also picked up the 2x10’s to build new stairs for my deck. Of course they didn’t have the wood for the treads in. But that’s all waiting for me to conquer.

Futzed around with a vintage Craftsman block grinder and a Shopmate belt sander that were my Uncle's. Too hot to do much else.

I've been working on a friend's Moke - I wired it up, got the brakes and clutch to work and got it to start and run. It didn't want to start at first, and had me pretty well puzzled till I found a broken rotor bug - replaced it and fired right up!

Today it went home to a happy owner!

Still some small details to finish but he was leaving early in the morning for 2 weeks so it had to go home today.
