Lisle smoke machine adapter set for testing turbo engines. Hopefully to find the leak in the car I posted about here before.
It looks interesting, would you please share why a Turbo engine needs a special way to smoke it to find a leak? Always trying to learn by asking. Thanks
Stanley FatMAX was my goto tape, but that think looks like it is at least 4x the tape the Stanley is. Clicking ADD TO CART!!
The Vessel ratcheting screwdriver is made in Thailand? As far as I know off only a few of their screwdrivers (including some ball-grip) is made in Japan and the rest are made in Taiwan/Thailand.
Typical smoke machine output is less than 1psi, to allow safe connection to EVAP systems.
The compressed side of the turbo air piping, between the compressor wheel outlet and the throttle, is going to see whatever peak boost pressure is, 12-15psi is common. You're usually chasing a few psi drop, so one needs to test at full boost pressure for leakage.
KC tool order came in today. Had to grab some Wera hex plus after all the talk about them.

I'm liking that 27" ratchet
My dad says its too heavy lol. But I like it too. Using it tomorrow on a job.
Nice, the Kraftform Comfort is a good choice. How much did you get them for?
Do you mount them on a keyless chuck or a hex bit chuck?
They're the typical 1/4" hex so either should would. I tried them in a Felo driver and they worked fine, just like any other bit of similar design. Haven't tried them chucked in an impact driver or drill, though.
You'll come to the realization that they'll likely not chuck into the locked position on your impact driver...unless you have a Japanese spec'd one. In Japan, most 1/4" hex bits (anything longer than 1"), are manufactured to a standard.
The location of the groove is often either 13mm to 14.xmm by their commonly used standards. By comparison, (I believe) the rest of the world has their groove location at 9mm from end.
The quick fix to this is to simply grind down the end (at least on your single-ended bits) to allow them to lock into your quick chuck.

Got a new work drill to keep my Festool CXS at home. This thing is WAY more torque than I was expecting given it's size and weightI took a spare mini pick, and turned it into a multi-bit driver today.
