Lisle smoke machine adapter set for testing turbo engines. Hopefully to find the leak in the car I posted about here before.

It looks interesting, would you please share why a Turbo engine needs a special way to smoke it to find a leak? Always trying to learn by asking. Thanks

Typical smoke machine output is less than 1psi, to allow safe connection to EVAP systems.

The compressed side of the turbo air piping, between the compressor wheel outlet and the throttle, is going to see whatever peak boost pressure is, 12-15psi is common. You're usually chasing a few psi drop, so one needs to test at full boost pressure for leakage.

Stanley FatMAX was my goto tape, but that think looks like it is at least 4x the tape the Stanley is. Clicking ADD TO CART!!

For 11 bucks it's a great deal. I think they're made in Korea

The Vessel ratcheting screwdriver is made in Thailand? As far as I know off only a few of their screwdrivers (including some ball-grip) is made in Japan and the rest are made in Taiwan/Thailand.

It's made in Thailand, according to the back of the package.

Oh Yes that makes lots of sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain it.

Upgraded the HF rachet to a Mac, but I'm stuck in training and can't use it.

Does a toolbox count as a tool? Picked it up today. And a set of nut drivers.

Excuse the mess in the background. I’m in the middle of putting the flooring down still so I have stuff all over the place.

Bought some needed items. I lost all but one pick for my road box, replaced those. Then I got a seal and oring removal set, 3/16 driver for Fadal electrical cabinets, lil 72 tooth cornwell ratchet and a the 27” 1/2 cornwell ratchet.

They're the typical 1/4" hex so either should would. I tried them in a Felo driver and they worked fine, just like any other bit of similar design. Haven't tried them chucked in an impact driver or drill, though.

You'll come to the realization that they'll likely not chuck into the locked position on your impact driver...unless you have a Japanese spec'd one. In Japan, most 1/4" hex bits (anything longer than 1"), are manufactured to a standard.

The location of the groove is often either 13mm to 14.xmm by their commonly used standards. By comparison, (I believe) the rest of the world has their groove location at 9mm from end.

The quick fix to this is to simply grind down the end (at least on your single-ended bits) to allow them to lock into your quick chuck.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't buy them for that reason and don't expect them to be used in that way, though. I bought them for my motorcycle tool kit in which I have a Vessel driver handle already.

What I ordered from Amazon:

90319c8ff5b2f9ed030370b07c30f29c.jpg

What Amazon thinks they sent me:

5e0d911a28d2b336d2da3c5389da2fa3.jpg

Open the box:

b0fc2540bab71f58a22baf094947e7b0.jpg

Nope.

caf0c9c7a6d2ac2c0543d19c1f9d5872.jpg

So, I do the sent wrong item thing, need to get what I ordered. The item is “non returnable”, so cant be replaced. Bunk.

Off to customer service chat. Got wrong thing shipped here. CS confirms, “not returnable”. So, can issue refund, or ship a replacement.

So, shipping replacement. I’ll either get what I ordered, or a second box of the wrong thing.

Place your bets...!

Got some hard handled screwdrivers for my kit

Gotta get a pick next and make a 4mm bit driver like supra90turbo did
I took a spare mini pick, and turned it into a multi-bit driver today.

Got a new work drill to keep my Festool CXS at home. This thing is WAY more torque than I was expecting given it's size and weight

It's small enough to tuck into a small hand bag

Congrats. I've had mine for a year. Just don't try to take them apart.

Just after I posted this, my new-to-me MAC Tools hose-gripping pliers showed up. The three normal-length ones are all made in the USA but the extra-long "python" one is not.
