So I was looking though my parents new home construction and wondered what you all think of the water heater plumbing. The WH is electric but hasn't been wired yet.
1. No expansion tank for WH. New construction so I assume there has to be a backflow valve at water meter.
2. In place of expansion tank there is a 125psi relief valve that goes to the drain. Hard telling if the little clear hose is pressure or temperature rated. Is this considered acceptable instead of a expansion tank?
3. Tp valve connected to pvc. Temperature rating issue?
4. Pex ran right to hot water hookup. I thought it is highly suggested to have 18" of copper tube / flex line between heater and PEX on both hot and cold hookup.
Parents have their walk through inspection in about a week and they want me to help point out issues. House is located in Johnson County Indiana.
Of the 4 listed concerns above are any a code violation?
