Here are my 2 heritage toolboxes. I don't know why I bought them other than they were cheap and I like Craftsman. I just like the 60's-70's stuff more.

I suspect a set with all of those pieces would have come with a breaker but who knows? These two 1/4” drive sets are pretty original and fortunately they came with them.

I traded with Bmwrd0 for this heritage light! Original cord is even still pliable. I cleaned, waxed and installed a new led bulb and mounted it over my work bench

Nice. I have only seen a few in the wild, and all of them were attached to machinery I wasn't interested in. I would love to find one to mount either on my workbench, or on a bandsaw/drill press.

I brought this bushing driver set home today from a garage sale. It's dirty, but complete. I found the set listed in several catalogs from '49 to '57, but there was no mention of a box.

I could have used it yesterday. Instead, I fumbled with a couple sockets and a c-clamp which was a pita.

Old Heritage logo pliers. Any idea who might have made these for Craftsman? I don't think it would have been New Britain, would it? Great operating tool with honest patina, but not a lot of wear and tear.

They have the nested-diamonds grip pattern, which I believe was a design patent originally belonging to the president of Forged Metal Products who took over Snap-on. However, I speculate without evidence that eventually Sears acquired the rights to the pattern, because it persists way beyond the period when Snap-on supplied Sears. So, I think Wilde made your pliers. Eventually, the grip pattern changes to the rope pattern, which Wilde used on their own branded pliers, too.

I'm posting this here because I can't believe that this was made in the Long C era, but I'm not sure about that.

I found this at a sale last week. I call it a "Cotter Pin Puller" but it could be a hose tool. The handle had a thick coat of white powder (typical for Craftsman plastic handles) covering the the whole thing. I gently brushed off the powder, but found no trace of markings.

Note the trace of blue paint in the groove in the second photo. That seems to be a Craftsman tell.

The shape of the handle is close to, or identical to the Craftsman screwdrivers made by Western Forge and others after WWII. I am familiar with the clear/painted handles, but don't recall ever seeing an amber handle except the Long-C New Britain-made screwdrivers. The Long-C drivers had a different handle shape.

Can anyone identify this animal?

It's a cotter pin puller that someone bent upward quite a bit.

BTW, there is a lot of wear at the main part of the bend, as if it was used in a repeat operation.

Do It! My grandprix was almost full last weekend. Didn't even have to take out the car seat or use the trunk.

A close friend of mine used to live in Port Orchard, and when I lived in Olympia, I would visit often.

I have a great memory of driving him to the Silverdale mall, missing the exit and realizing it was 7 miles to the next exit to turn around, so I drove my F250 4x4 through the median and headed back the other way - only to have 2 cop cars flip on their lights just after I crossed the median. Fortunately for me, it was almost dark and they were heading the other way and had no quick way to turn around, so I raced to the mall and parked the truck in the most densely packed parking area. He and I laughed about it for hours!

Guys, Brian needs to wait on the truck bed conversion until he recovers from the cost of the lift kit. The bumper guards were expensive but now he has more tie offs for holding multiple lower rollers
