These arrived today. Bearing driver set and static wheel balancer rig for motorcycle wheels. The balancer is designed to rest on jack stands or similar and is well made her in California.

Paul
Id like to see that balancer in action and wonder if you could use it for balancing grinding wheels. Anybody got any opinions?
Apologies for potential thread hijack.

I ordered these to replace the 6 ton jack stands I returned to HF. US Jack D- 41610. There's a 4-6 week wait, I'm not in a hurry.

Nice how much did the run for a set?

From the local Princess Auto. Still some decent stuff if you take a look around.

Bondhus SAE hex key set, small Osca machinist's hammer, and an Osca Evo soft face hammer, made in Italy.

Let me know how you like it! I've been on the fence forever on one of those. Is it easy to swap out the burrs?
I've only used it on 2 chains so far. Kind of finicky to setup, but once you dial it in, it's super fast. I'm sure it will be a lot smoother after a few more uses. I suggest buying an extra burr in the beginning. I kind of jacked mine up in the learning process. Not too bad, still usable. I have a few ideas on a foolproof first time setup, but I need to test it out before I put it out there.

Got my new jack stands today. The chips on the lower part of the saddle in the second picture worry me a little. The company just painted over the missing metal.

Very easy to swap out the burrs. There is a set screw on the handle that engages a flat milled into the burr. They give you an Allen wrench for swapping the burrs.

You have to go easy the first time out sharpening with this thing or you’ll damage the burr. As greasy fingers said, it is fiddly, but works well. I don’t use my saw that often, so I find myself going back to the instructions to get a refresher on setting the jig, which is a little annoying. But you’ll get razor sharp teeth, which is satisfying. If you want simpler, try the Pferd files which grind the rakers and teeth together. I’ve read good feedback on those in terms of speed of sharpening and results.

Damnit, now I may have to buy one. I've looked at the Pferd all in ones but I prefer a progressive raker height. Well I'll probably still end up buying both eventually.

I made him repeat it as I took the pic lol.

Stopped at HD on my way home from work for a $3 jar of sample paint, left with a brushless hammer drill. It was on clearance $150. Comes with 2 4ah batteries and a quick charger. 076f5f33eb4dca31459d666179678cac.jpg

NWS 7" pliers because someone else posted them here a while back and I had to have them myself. Damn GJ!

A cheap digital caliper because, well I'm getting lazy in my old age. Plus I'll not flip out if I were to drop it overboard!

Needed a chain wrench longer than 18", couldn't find one anywhere locally. My mom n pop store had the only chain wrench in town but not long enough, and were out of the extension. So, a Williams 24" is what showed up today. It's probably the same as the Blue Point at less than half the cost.
