Is this a professional installation? or was it left by the previous owner?
There was a recent photo where somebody hanging a object I can’t remember what it was decided to use a 3” drywall screw they hit a SE cable and lit things up, it may have been on Reddit, there is a reason why your not supposed run long lengths of unprotected SE conductors in a structure.
I'm guessing maybe it has something to do with the drywall screws through the romex?![]()

I reno'd our long overdue kitchen about 8 years ago. Down to the studs. During tearout I found this surprise above the stove, this was the electrical feed to the exhaust fan. Was probably there 30+ years. The previous handyman managed to put a cabinet screw right through the cable without touching neutral or hot. The screw was touching the ground but had not cut it.
The cable way through the drywall was a nice touch too.
