I am glad you asked, did not know if people had lost interests

They placed the rake boards and front fascia board in preparation for the roofers who are coming Monday. We also got the new building tied/married to the breeze way.

A couple shots form on top of the
Boom lift and also the radiant tubing and manifolds came. Hopefully the outside will get buttoned up in a few weeks and then can do the floor.

Oh, and I picked up my stego (15mil) vapor barrier

Looking good there, can't wait to see some more progress. Do you have enough stuff to fill that much space? lol
Well not enough stuff. But a far bit. Was running out of space in the 36x100 pole building that was there so there will be room to grow I suspect

Carpal tunnel? I had both hands done in 2006, was out of work for 9 months! I'm hoping the procedure has changed greatly since then! Everybody loves pics, so you'll be good for a long time.

I've been following along since post #1 and I agree about the method with the trusses being odd but neat. Seems like more work to build them on the ground and lift them up but it might be easier as well. Definitely probably goes quicker with less risk of falling off !!!

I was pretty happy about my 54x72x18 that is currently going up but damn dude !! This will be a really nice space !!!

I can't speak for other areas but here the "less risk of falling off" is the biggest reason you see a lot of roofs assembled on the ground here. The working at heights regs have become very restrictive here, so for a lot of builds it's quicker and cheaper to pre-assemble sections on the ground.

Mkarlin: the build is looking great! Keep posting, I'm one of the many on here who don't post a lot but like to watch others builds and steal ideas for my own build.

yeah carpal tunnel. long story but had to get am EMG, but had to wait with covid. Once I got it the hand surgeon said we should do this soon so the following monday had surgery on both hands. Has made a few things hard to get done, but have an amazing wife and figured I should just get them done and have one recovery period then two separate ones.

Just found this thread. Great building. Love the updates. I did in floor heat in my shop way back in 1995 the best heat system for a garage that you would use full time. You can set up different zones for where you just want it warm for the equipment storage & warmer where you are working. Don't make really long runs of the tubing keeping them to 100/150 feet long is good. Mine are 300 feet long takes to long to get back the the boiler.

Thanks, I had someone set up my system plan: 5/8 in diameter- 500 foot rolls. 6 zones. around 2 -3 loop per zone depending on size.

I've been watching this one, because my (city) property is 50x122. And another 15 feet between the curb and where my property starts, so your building would cover my whole property and stick out 3 feet onto the road!

Just found your build, it's fun watching the time-lapse video! Looking forward to the completed building also with what you are going to fill this up with. I love F body cars, I'm restoring a 73 Formula 455 with my son right now. Keep the updates coming, subscribed!

Gutters went on today and the transom window frame went in. Next week this side of the building with the faux carriage doors will get clapboard sliding to match the rest of the property.

Made a drip edge for the arched faux carriage door (will be for all the arches)

The edge will get painted white to blend in with the rest of the molding.

That thing is a monster but looking good. Keep us updated.

Can I assume it will be painted red to match the other buildings?

Gutted you would be 110% correct Only half the building will have clapboard. The side you can see from the house.

But the whole building will be red. :)
