If cost for Astro to construct is a factor, I'd rather give up 8 and 9 mm. I know I would have that 10 millimeter wedged in somewhere and it would save me.

My wrenching is mostly on Japanese motorcycles so 8mm is more common than 11mm, but I think 11mm is common on KTMs. I would be most interested in a complete 8mm-19mm set.

I think most on garage journal are going to advocate for the most complete set. Myself included. Please take my money!
Always thought modules for extra large (20mm and up) or extra small sizes (below 10mm) if needed would be convenient and a great option. Doubt this would make commercial sense for Astro though.

Any plans on making more wobble impact sockets? I love my 3/8" short sets and would love to add a 3/8" drive mid length and deep sockets. A friend has a set of snap on metric swivels that are great for suspension work. Looked them up and they are 366 bucks for a 7 piece set, https://shop.snapon.com/product/Sem...e-Semi-Deep-Impact-Swivel-Socket-Set/207IPSFM. Figure some of the tooling might be the same so might be worth it for astro to do a mid length and a deep set of swivel sockets. I would buy a set of each in metric for sure and maybe even SAE.

These are being considered as a next future move, but we need to see continued sell through on the current sets to justify it. So far so good.
Required a larger forging press, and obviously new forging dies, which we had to be on a wait list for but is now up and running.

Sweet. Can't wait for them. I think you would sell a ton of them since guessing the price point would be roughly a quarter of the snap on ones. Could also do a master pack thing with short, mid, deep swivel sockets.

Got to use my astro exhaust expander again today. Tool is amazing for exhaust repairs. Since getting the tool I've bought a 10' stick of each common size exhaust pipe. Needed to do a small repair today for a guy that just wanted ot patched where it rusted through. Cut out the bad spot and got a chunk of 2 1/4" pipe the right length. One side of his was 2 1/2" and the other was 2 1/4" where I cut out. So I just stuck my 2 1/4" pipe inside his 2 1/2" and clamped it. Then used my expander to open up my 2 1/4" pipe to 2 1/2" so his 2 1/4" would slide in. Clamped that and done.
I had a green lee hydraulic knock out set already and the draw screw on that has the same threads as the astro expander. So I just screw the astro expander onto that and now have a hydraulic exhaust expander. Works so slick and easy.

I have two Atro P Tools, (My First DA sander was an Astro it died many years ago... ) Rivet Nut setters my small one I was setting some 10-24 Stainless Nuts and the draw stud in the hand tool Broke (All on me not the tool at all Trust me!) I E-mailed AP customer support and related my story, asked to purchase one and the CS rep took my information and just mailed me one, had it in a couple days... Kudos!

I'm looking at your rivet nut setting tools. Do you offer an expanded range of mandrels to fit the 1442 or other tools? I'm specifically looking for M3 and M4 mandrels.

Yes, the mandrels/sizes we use are interchangeable and we have additional sizes available for use on all of them. No M3 though.
One thing to note is with a mid-to-large tool the smaller the rivet nut size the harder it is to get a feel for it and tell when it's properly set. Imagine a 1/2" wrench with a 1/4" drive socket on it aiming for hand tight.

That makes sense about not using the larger tool for smaller rivet nuts. Do you offer something smaller that is of decent quality?
I didn't see M4 mandrel listed. I called customer service and they didn't have a listing either.

Will these expanders remove the crimps in exhaust pipe made by the factory exhaust clamps? Putting a new exhaust system on my 1995 Dodge Diesel and the factory catalytic converter has to be in place for emissions testing.

Would need an example, but if you're talking about an inner "Step" that you need to even and flatten out with the rest of the inside diameter yes. Just work slow and rotate the collet each go for an even surface.

I've been out of it for while. Been focusing on woodworking and renovating our house. What happened to the 1823? I see on Astro's website it's been discontinued. I love mine and just fired it up this past weekend to replace some ball joints and engine mount.

Does anyone know where I can purchase two of the washers part #78830-11? I have the bearing removal and installation tool that Astro sells and it’s truly a game changer. No more wasting time pulling the spindle and throwing it on the press to r&r the bearing. My only complaint was the washers tend to get chewed up really bad and I have to fight with them to get them on the bolt. After purchasing the tool my Nightmare was still trying to pull the hub from the spindle, until I see on here a little while back the hub puller tool. I ended up purchasing it and Geeze I’m beyond impressed! For $130 that thing pulls hubs like it’s nothing! And I found they seemed to correct the issue of the thin washers that came with the bearing tool. Was hoping to be able to purchase a couple for my bearing set. Thanks for everyone’s time!

The 78300 is about 12" long. It hasn't officially launched yet as it's not really available anywhere yet, but yeah that's its info.

We've had a couple of these here in the past, we try to make it simple. Buy product X via a link we provide, PM me a copy+paste of your receipt with your shipping address included and we'll ship you Y. Many times you'll even get our BOGO item before your order, it's sort of the honor system in that regard, but we do these on here in appreciation of this forum so not too worried about it.
Depends on the BOGO item, often times yes but on something this small may not be feasible due shipping being higher than item cost.

Is there a difference between the "hardened washers" that come with the 78825 bearing kit (part #78825-19) and the "hardened washers" that come with the 78830 puller kit (part #78830-11)?
I have the 78825 bearing kit and the post by Chevymike seems to indicate the 78830 washers are thicker, is that correct? I would assume the thicker washers would last longer... Can customers purchase these?
I'm also curious if customers can purchase additional "forcing screws/bolts" for the 78825 and the 7865 kits? I own both kits and the forcing screws/bolts will get beat up after use, even when properly lubricated.
I'm not sure if it's possible, but Astro really should sell individual replacements for "consumable" parts. Tools will always wear and break eventually, regardless of their quality.

They're available now. If the site says not available yet, or gives an extended date that's temporary until they have their first QTY's which should be this week.
Yup, we've been offering tools since the early 70's!
The 78830 washers are 2-4 points harder and around 3X thicker. Shoot me a PM.
And since we have a warranty on everything we sell, we of course stock parts. So even outside of warranty you can always contact us for replacement parts which we will always sell direct.
