Was some good ol' boys drinking whisky and rye?

Is he safe to use technical equipment like a vise? I don't know if he will damage the vise or himself. [emoji38][emoji38]
Sorry I wasn't able to come over to say hi while you were around Shorty. I'm sure ya'll had a good time either way.
JB
very cool being up in the Coppola.

since Andy provided me with wire, I look forward to making a foam cutter.
Hi. CNC_Rick here. I've been a member for a few years. I've followed your antics from the start. You remind me so much of my Dad. He could fix anything, just like you. Ive responded on JBMATT's page, too. I do own a Farmall M... and 7 John Deeres... and an Allis Chalmers B... just like the one you have, but not quite as nice as yours. a couple dozers...

So glad we got to visit with you and Sharon the week before she died Andy.
She was a gentle soul.
Good to see the dogs keeping you on track too.
Boxes are good......![]()
Good to see you back Andy. Nice work. Maybe now I will have more motivation to create. I am creating space though. Got a guy who wanted the Texaco gas pump but was surprised when I would not let him take it while leaving me a check; which he informs me of after I spent several hours removing it. Now it's occupying the space i just made in my barn.![]()
The Cabinets look good, Andy. Nice work.
A difficult day but a good day for a walk with the pooches and seeing the beauty in life.
Did they drive the Chevy to the levy?

Yeah, but the levy was dry.

Hey Andy, so good to see you posting some again.
Mamatus clouds and a big caboose. Only on this thread.
Castings came out great and the Chevy looks awesome.
Rose of Sharon is putting on a spectacular show too. Cannot believe that it has been a year already Andy! My thoughts are with you.
Glad you’re back, Andy. Anniversaries are often difficult, but help keep the good memories alive.
Nice job on the cabinet boxes!
Good for you Andy. Looks like beautiful weather.

Looks like you are having a blast Andy, some great sites to see in that area of the country.
JB
Eastbound it appears. Looks like a fun time Andy. If you make it southeast a bit more, give me a warning and I'll do my best to offer some Iowa hospitality.
Andy, mom and dad would be so pleased. Taking that first trip to the West Coast in 1955, followed by the trip to the east side of the Rockies in 1956 should bring back lots of memories.

Looks like you guys are having fun.
So Andy, we heard you have a helper?
Bet he’s not wearing safety shoes!!![]()
Who’s the guy in the pants??
Looks like a booster is needed for the vise so he don’t have to bend over so much.![]()

Back home from the Andy Martin Experience. What a great time and super host. First up was a tour of the caboose.very cool being up in the Coppola.
Next up, a ride in the Show Truck.
Hershey didn’t join but Spot did.
Then it was the shop tour....or playground wonder world. I got to learn how to cast.![]()
For some reason Andy wouldn’t let me get close even with my Florida Safety Shoes on.

While getting a tour of the farm in the show truck, Andy bequeathed me with one of his many prized possessions. Maybe if you all visit, you might get a prize too.
After lunch it was time to see the brass castings we’d poured.
Definitely will treasure these. Vicki absolutely loves the Hope cross. Thank you.
Next activity was learning lost foam casting.since Andy provided me with wire, I look forward to making a foam cutter.
We placed the patterns in sand, melted some aluminum and produced these. Round disc will be a tire charger hold down. On the left, part of the bracket for my bandsaw fence and last, a desk ornament.

Real nice report of your great trip.
Thanks for sharing
Vince
Special trip for you Shorty. There aren't a lot of Andy's left to learn from.

What a PRIVILEGE to spend time with Andy, and then dogs, making stuff.
I love those imperfect perfect castings best.
Glad you had a good time
Sounds like a great day!
Pete
It looks like you had a great time and wonderful teacher. I'll admit, I'm a little jealous.
Great trip, Shorty. Kudos to you for the great recap and to Andy for being such a good host.
Andy,
Great to see you enjoying life & sharing it with others. I miss the regular posts but understand if they get in the way of having fun. I’ll hold tight for the cliff notes. -=Mike
I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, I just can't seem to get up to date. And that trip was 7,500 miles in 19 days. Nonstop fun.It was a great time. Highly recommended.
