Need to make a couple sleeves for using the hold downs in the flange holes and
a mount for a horizontal screw.

I can see that the round table might be comfortable to work around, good for those attchments to do square work. The location of the bench is everything and maybe as much a a true fab bench might be a work bench and l like the fact the holes are outside for potential spills.
The thread reminds me I wanted to scribe a ruler line in mine. Maybe 2. Might steel a couple parts from this thread and a fireball kind of thing for a couple jigs. Only reason I havnt done the mods is I am kind of rigged and done before making it better. I would be a bigger adopter of some features earlier in my career where i tended to do more eclectic mix of projects than i do now.
Another thing makes this project an award winner is cost.

I did the same. I didn't make hold downs with the **** curves like yours though[emoji481]

Great use of the tire irons Lis,
Far better steel than what I used.
The notches you made for round stock are slick.

Thanks, royce. Those are the first ones I ever made. I thought the bends weren’t right because I couldn’t get them to “hold”.

Embarrassed to admit it took me a while to realize I was hitting them TOO HARD with the hammer and they were springing loose on me. They just needed a light tap. [emoji849]

I really like the horizontal screw clamp. I will have to remember that.

Maybe a horizontal toggle clamp would work away from an edge. Won’t look as cool though.

That round table sure does look like a bulk plate for large diameter water pipe.

hight nice table and fab work! I had a question though, where did you get the angle adapter? I have been trying to figure a good way to hold my stands at an angle to weld the tube joints, that looks way better than the idea I had

Wow I really have a lot to learn! How did all you guys learn all this? I'm hearing up in my garage and when I see stuff like this I realize how little I know. Experience, books, school, etc?

Got lucky and found a chunk of 1-7/8" round bar in the bone pile, it fits the holes with just the right amount of slack.
Cut some 1" pieces and plug welded them on the back side of the squares, making sure that they were indexed with the table.
Now, any of the squares can be placed on any of the quarter points of the table
They could be clamped to the table, but don't really need to be.
I'll drill a hole in them, so they can be hung on the wall, when not in use.

Royce

IMHO, this is one of the best additions to a fab table that I've ever seen!

Nice Work!
