New LED Xmas light for the house:
Yesterday I stripped the aging LED "icicle" lights off the hanging fascia boards they lived on (5 boards; disconnect each partial string and hang from hooks under the eaves or from the rafters in the garage), and replaced with "C9" sized multi-color LEDs, we are long overdue for a change there... So now we are into the old school look...
It takes a little time to mount all the lights on the boards but its a one time deal, then I had to insert connectors from string to string at the junction of each board (3 places, with a forth pending) after than putting them up or taking then down is quick! -It will be even quicker without the dangley icicle wires and bulbs tangling...
Today the al went up (needed help for the garage peak as we do that from the ground and have to simultaneously put an eye screw over a long deck screw...)
I still want to do something with the 10 left over from the over the garage peak set that currently I "used up" down the corner of the garage. (I used 2 strings for the whole thing) and I looked for a suitable wreath, and would have added an extension to the 10 would be in the wreath, but that were either unsuitable or stupid $$ for a decent one. Maybe something else? I can get white/clear covers so maybe a snowflake or something?
