Depends on the tool.
Traditionally, the majority were French. Some were Italian.
Facom has been bought out by Stanley, so the county of origin could be France, Italy, Taiwan, or even China. Possibly some others, but those are the common ones I see.
Most of the newer patterns of Tool are Taiwanese at best. The Taiwanese tools generally seem to be among the better Taiwanese, but that doesn’t mean I’m prepared to pay “Made in France” prices. The 440 wrenches, for example, are made in Taiwan. The older 40 series were French. The 440’s are quite decent. I note that the pliers have recently changed though. The older (French made) were very nice. The newer ones are not.
In many cases, there are different options available. The “Palm Control” ratchets are still Italian made, but if you buy the newer models they are Taiwanese. In the U.K. the country of origin is relatively easily determined, but Stanley are not particularly transparent about this generally.
I don’t know exactly what Granger Canada sell, but doubt it’s different from any other Facom. If there’s a high proportion of special offers and discounted lines, expect a similar proportion of Taiwanese and Chinese tools rather than French or Italian!
