Bob must be hiding. :pimpflash
Things did not go well. With nothing to hide my nakedness while driving around, they pulled me over. As loose and flabby as it is, my skin does not form usable pockets so I had neither wallet nor phone with me. I neglected to move the license plate from the body to the frame so they had no way to verify my story. Apparently telling them my home phone number is 1 is not helpful. They kicked me out when the mattress in my cell spontaneously combusted (you don't need a pocket to carry a Bic lighter).

After the Boca Raton Mizner Park Amphitheater postponed the King Crimson and The Zappa Band concert, the ladies are boycotting my parade. Just as well because as cold as it has been recently I've been renamed the Teeny Tiny Marshal.

Hoping for a speedy recovery!

As for the mask with filters, I"ve gotten to where I wear one in the garage now. Without it, I usually suffer with a sinus headache the next day and I don't enjoy going through that headache!

Andy - I've been off the forum for a bit because, well...life. Of course I had to catch up what I missed here right away. Glad to see you back posting a bit.

I'd wish you a speedy recovery but it doesn't look like you will need it. It was a pleasure riding with you this morning!

Are you killing that box of cereal? Having breakfast with you made for good conversations

Very true, it is a singular pleasure having breakfast with Andy.

After that, we walked toward the rest of the house, Andy put down the phone on its back and I heard what sounded like post surgical bowel sounds....... I could almost smell it.
How much would the man share with me?
Then he looked down at the phone and said..... “I will wash these later”
Turns out he was squeezing the last of the dish washing liquid out, and the phone distorted the sound. :lol_hitti

Very clean job. Nice to see you back, Andy.

Thanks! It is good to be back.

Good to hear surgery went well.

Me too! It's nice to have a contractor do good work!!

Hoping for a comfortable recovery, Andy. Keep us posted.

Thanks, Dude! Recovery has been a lot slower than I thought. This being over forty is for the birds.

Glad all went well and hope this is the last. Relax and do what your nurse tells you to do.

Thanks Rex! I have truly been blessed and continue to be. Thanks for taking the time.

There you are, Bob! You've been hiding! And you didn't disappoint me, but then I'm not much of a lady.

Andy, speaking of Bic lighters, I hope your surgery was successful with no after effects or complications.

Thank you. I'm surviving quite nicely.

Good to see you back upright mate.

Thanks Grizz!

Hang in there Andy, glad it worked out well and I wish you a fast and speedy recovery.

JB

Thank you JB. I just need a Stage 2 upgrade now. I'm moving slow.

Blessings and Prayers your way Andy!

Bret

Thanks, Bret.

Prayers for a speedy and complete recovery, Andy.

Thank you, doing good. But want to do better!

Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Thank you.

Avoiding sinus headaches may also be avoiding warning signs from your body. I learned that a little late, but I finally learned it.

Gosh Andy! Stay warm and hope all goes well with the recovery.

Thanks Eugene!! I'm getting covered if not recovered.

Where's my mother when I need her?

Looking good fellas. Keep at it Andy!

I admit I'm a cereal killer. We seem to be badly maligned in the news...

Back to the old grind!

The house I'm making cabinets for also needed some floor repair.
Wide pine boards so I just decided to make the 100 ft needed.
Here a friend is helping me feed the second pass through the router.

attachment.php

Not a big job, no back relief but they will work.

attachment.php

All the cabinets are finally ready to sand.

attachment.php

So I started cutting out drawer fronts.
Lots of pieces.

attachment.php

This is the design the lady wanted. A simple frame is popular now.

attachment.php

The panel is thicker on the back to fit flush to the front of the drawer box.

attachment.php

Last June I was mowing and trimming for a friend. I tried to do my best in honor of 1/2 Cup. My life has changed and I try to do my best routinely to honor his memory. I gained from our friendship.

attachment.php

It had already been a year.

Rest in Peace Stephen Church.

Chatting with Andy most days.

He is doing fine, dealing with friends and family, who all want a lot of his time.

Hopefully he will get a break by Easter :bounce:

Two things Andy.

Good to see you acknowledge your friend and helper on the woodwork.

And wonderful reminding us of 1/2 Cup.

Well done team.

Thank, Rian! I can't believe it's been a month since I've posted.

Thanks! A little help is always appreciated. We flew to Portland to pick up her FJ Cruiser. She owes me.:bounce:

Glad to hear you are doing well Andy.
Your thread is always a treat.

Vince

Thank you Vince. I've been busy. I've realized I had more time to post from my laptop sitting next to my wife while she slowly deteriorated. We had lots of good times together. She enjoyed my reading funny things the guys here had to say.

Glad you are doing well, and have an awesome helper!

Awesome is the word. She is meticulous and diligent. She is also very new to shop work but wants to learn and is interested in safety. Shorty tried to corrupt her...

Seen elsewhere.

It’s a tractor, just not how you know them

Oh man, that is just No. 2 pine lumber, the cheapest wood available. It does work well when you work around the defects. These were 1x8's even though 1x4's and 1x6's would have done the job.

A very nice Christmas. I went to my son's. They had all had and recovered from the dreaded COVID so it was a lot of hugging and fun with nine family members.

I may have posted these, but forgive me. The front mechanical brakes on early Chevrolets had a flex tube from the frame to the brake backing plate. There was a roller in a die cast housing to guide the cable inside the tube. On the 32 Coupe one was bad. I used it to sand cast a replacement. The results were usable:

When I bought my new farm (cemetery plots) I fertilized and planted annual rye grass to keep it green. My wife loved the green grass. By June 5 2020 I had a good crop.

attachment.php

By June 14 they had finally mowed.

attachment.php

The grass held erosion to a minimum. This winter it is covered with sod.

The original pedal mounts for the 32 Chevy were off the bell housing. I fabricated a little bracket to use the same pedal arrangement and keep them in the same place mounted on two holes on the automatic bell housing:

attachment.php

Then cut a new floor board for the bigger automatic transmission.

attachment.php

It needs a hump not present on the original floor.

The toe board needed trimming to clear the bell housing.
