Having 0 luck searching, I must be using the wrong keywords.
I am planning on making my own Mechanics Time Savers knockoffs out of some scrap Corian from an old countertop. Example of their product https://mechanicstimesavers.com/coll...ket-organizers
What I'm having an issue with is finding ~3/16" thick magnetic sheets to use for the base. Thinking this sheet may be cheaper and easier to work with than the alternate thought I have below. the ones on the MTS / Kobalt seem to be that rubbery/plasticky magnetic material.
my other thought was to use the router to make a groove in the underside and use Neodymium magnets glued into the underside of the base, but they may be too strong for smaller sockets and make the project a little more complicated. Also not all that cheap. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R17XH4Y/?tag=atomicindus08-20
thoughts/input on magnet options?
