Vintage Craftsman block grinder

I was told to post this here. I hope its ok because I did start another post before I saw this topic. Sorry about that but here goes.
I traded for this old craftsman. I need a power cord about 6 foot long.
Model - 397/19390 Design -C2372
It runs nice and smooth .
I could also use a off/on switch
Any suggestions appreciated.
I got many 18 gauge computer cables but not sure they would carry the load ?

What about the switch?
I have never really had an issue with mine.

On Craftsman grinders and motors, I've used literally dozens of these 16/3, 13 amp power tool replacement cords from HD.



and a handful of these 20 amp, 3/4 hp capacity switches from HD.
