Considering that they look to be made by Rousseau. I’m sure the price is pretty reasonable for the quality you get.

Their trouble is going to be one thing. The Commie ones in spite of the usual reputation are actually and I hate to say it ,[emoji53] well made.

These are, to the best of everyone's knowledge, made by Rousseau so these are in fact a pretty good price for what you get. Something I would certainly consider over my HF 5-drawer if I didn't already have one.

It's hard to beat the HF carts for the money. I've been a bit disappointed in Tekton's pricing lately. They used to be in the same range as some of the other cheaper brands found on Amazon (Neiko for example). The last few items I've looked up on their site have been considerably higher than the alternatives (flip socket set $24.99 Neiko vs $40.00 Tekton for example).

I’m with you on the HF boxes and carts. Other than my grandfathers Snap-On box, it’s all I have. The one thing I have to give props to Tekton is - their warranty. I’ve used it twice and both times, sent them a pic and within 3-days I had the replacement no questions asked. HF annoys the HELL out of me for warranty stuff. “Lifetime” if you are the original purchaser - aka need a receipt. Tekton, you can buy it off CL and as long as you take a pic of it, you’re good.

Tekton used to be similar price as Neiko and other cheaper brands because they were selling the same items as Neiko and the other brands, including Harbor Freight. They have moved the brand up-market, and offer higher quality with a higher price. There is no shortage of cheap tools so no loss imo and they have brought some good stuff to the market recently at prices that are still quite less than high end brands.

those carts are quite pricey, $400 for basic no drawer cart with lid. Better be able to drop a hoist on one accidentally, and be able to salvage the cart. No pry bar storage either, maybe an add on that will come out later?

They look nice but my last 5 drawer us general I had for 7 years & just sold it for 150$, it was like new,I just needed to get a blue one, so they do hold their value.

They actually look quite decent. Definately not a budget tool cart but they're still cheaper then premium brands.

What I'd love to see though is more customization options. I want a fold up table on one or both sides. I also want to see a holder for breaker bars. Maybe something for holding power tools. More options for the drawers could be nice too - for example instead of 1 drawer per row, I'd like to see the option to have two, maybe 3.

I love those pegboard sides. Lots of great ideas there, and I suspect accessories and options will increase.

I like that they continue to add higher quality products to their lineup. I'm pretty familiar with Tekton and I don't think they're trying to compete with Harbor Freight. I think they'll do just fine.

Too expensive. They don't have the reputation to charge those prices.

Is there proof the boxes are made by Rousseau or is that the ever popular internet speculation?

I am a Mac Tool Box guy all day long. But I needed a Tool Cart to make things a little easier when working in other areas in the shop away from the Car Shop Master Set or the Tool Box in the Machine Shop. So I bought a Tekton for pretty much free.

The catch is I purchased 2 of their 48 Tool Cabinets for the company during the 20% earning promotion getting me a $1000 credit.

First off the Tool Cabinets are really well built and heavy duty. The Slides work great and the Drawer Liners are right up there with the Mac Tool Liners. The drawer Latching system is user friendly and stout. I love the way the Drawer are design with the embosses and slits so you can easily add dividers. The Casters are very nice too.

The same goes for the Tool Carts. Nice sturdy unit after it is all assembled. The Assembly is easy and they ship you all the tools necessary save for the Ratchet (7/16 DP Socket for the Casters, a T25 Torx Driver hand held and a 3/8 long reach for a ratchet). The design is pretty straight forward and basically becomes a series of interlocking features and shear plains making it very ridged (more ridged than any of the 3 Mac Tool Carts I have owned over the years). The Caster are high quality and use a Bolt for the Axel vs a pinned over tube like a Rivet...bearing too not a sleeve like the cheap Casters. The Caster lock work really well.

Took me about an hour to assemble it since the directions were in an envelop attached to the outside of the Box and Fed X had managed to rub them off. The plastic envelop was there but the directions were not. Pretty easy however.

2 tings I don't like, first having 4 locks to lock the thing down. 1 for the top and 1 for each drawer. No biggy for me as I do not lock any boxes in my shop. But for someone wanting one where they need to lock it up that may be a deal breaker.

Second, It has Swivel Casters on all 4 corners. I prefer 2 locked Casters on one end and 2 swivels on the other. Makes the Cart more manageable going through doorways.

Is it worth the $720, no tax and free shipping. Yes if you own a Mac Macsimizer and probably not if you own a US General (my opinion).

Would I recommend a Tekton Tool Cart: Yes. Over a Mac? Yes except if it is one of their Macsimizer Tools Carts (insert spendy here). Snappy...I have no experience with any Snappy Tool Storage at least that I have owned.

I was impressed enough with the quality and function of this middle of the road priced line of Boxes that I ordered a 60 inch Cabinet for our Panel Bending Department...leading to another $590.00 in store credit so now all the tools in the Tool art are basically free...at least that is what I tell myself.
