Who is OEM for John Deere hand tools?

For those who care:

I've recently discovered that JD "accessories" such as tools, toolboxes, air compressors, generators and such are being supplied to JD by a company called "Mi-T-M" (pronounced "Mighty Emm"): https://www.mitm.com

While I'm sure they're not manufacturing items like the tools or toolboxes, they seem to be the procurement group for JD branded stuff like that (I can confirm the toolbox end, local JD parts manager says they supply the hand tools as well). It does appear that they are manufacturing or assembling their air compressors and generators stateside.

Mi-T-M has supplied those type of things for Deere for awhile now. But from my understanding they’re not the maker. At least not of everything. I know that Mi-T-M doesn’t make the toolboxes.

I was told in August of 2017 by a corporate tool man for Deere that JohnDeere makes their own tools now. They aren't paying another company to stamp them out, Deere owns the factories. I was very specific in my asking him, and that was the answer I got.

Its not a promise, and I have no real proof, but that was what a corporate Deere employee who works in their tool dept told me at a farm show.

Nothing in Deere's tool line is made by Snap-on, please let that go. Nearly all of CNH's tools are produced by snap-on and I have verified that though participation in 1/4 scale tractor club at ISU. They have a tool sponsor deal with Case and its all snap-on stuff.

Who makes the ServiceGard tools? Like I said before, the last kit I bought from deere had a combination of manufacturers, including Snappy. Is it still like that?

Couldn't tell ya. The deere rep was very set on the fact that deere makes them all now. But I can't prove it.

Since you felt the need to quote me, I guess I'll answer. My info was never a guarantee as I stated numerous times I had no proof other than being told that by an employee. My info is also 9 years old now, things have surely changed.

I acknowledge the information listed there, and remain a little skeptical overall as one dealer network's claim isn't to be taken as gospel. From someone who deals with dealers and customers alike, its funny how information can be observed differently between corporate and dealers, and thusly how its passed to customers.
