My Mechanics - Restoration show (no talking or music, just the sounds of a shop)
FortNine - Motorcycle related, great production and the host is pretty funny and explains things well.
Steve's Small Engine Saloon - Small engine repair shop
Alec Steele - Young Blacksmith with amazing skills for his age

+1 great small engine how-to

I hope Torque Test Channel does more different types of automotive tools like they're doing with air hammers now.
I love project farm, but it's like 1 in 10 videos that apply to what I work with.

My favorite is probably SMA also like
Diagnose Dan, Ford Tech Makuloco, Scanner Danner, Automotive Test Solutions, Flat Rate Master. Can't stand AVE. Can't watch Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics because of the camera movement. I really like what he does but it gives me a headache. Sometimes The Car Care Nut.

I don't watch AvE after seeing a couple of his videos....he interjects way too many (attempted) comedic commentaries. Good for him that he has a shtick that makes him popular but for me it's annoying after a couple of videos and it gets old fast.

I do like Flat Rate Master, Koon Trucking, CP Tool Addict, Mr Subaru, and a couple of others that I can't recall the formal name of their channels but basically any channel that features tools that I'm unable to see in person on the tool truck or in store. I do like South Main Auto as well, as I think he does a good job of creating diagnostic and repair video content in a watchable truncated video without annoying background music or too much nonsense joking and smoking.

Favourite at the moment is “Post Apocalyptic Inventor”. German guy, very skilled. He basically takes machines and equipment that he can get for scrap value, repairs them and puts them to work. He’s pretty much built up a workshop from scrap tools and machines.

His electrical knowledge is waaay beyond mine but I’ve learnt some stuff. I totally agree with his philosophy of repair instead of replace. His films are very well made, and are a powerful counter argument to the “disposable” culture.

Others have mentioned “Abom 79”. Yes, a very interesting and educational channel if you are into machining, and even if you are not. Adam is very skilled, but he has a great manner in front if the camera and takes a lot if trouble over his footage.

“Harry Dwyer” is primarily about boats, and follows him restoring a small power boat, then embarking on a voyage around the U.K. (in easy sections). His films are remarkable for the incredible amount of care he goes to, with superb photography, editing and even music. Probably better than much mainstream T.V. at present. I love his films and I’m not particularly into boats.

All of the above channels are, I think, quite inspirational, as they show what you can do without necessarily much money, provided you have some skills, and are willing to give something a go!

Last Best Tool lately and ChrisCas. They make the style of tool video I really enjoy. The rest of them are pretty meeeh (maybe as a German I dont get the "overhyped" video style of lets say CP the tool addict:D) Tokyo Offrad does also pretty nice tool stuff from time to time.

I used to watch Pakistani Truck, but it soon became the same thing over and over again. While they have a lot of skill shown sometimes, a lot of the stuff just isn't right with little regard for the public safety---just look at the tire "repair" video.

All in context, safety there isn't what it is here. What is interesting is the problem solving when options are limited.

Im sure some of you like me love this channel. Just wanted to share this channel for those that might like watching tool/repair videos.

Pakistani Truck (not the similar "Pakistani Trucks" Channel) has been putting out great videos for some time. The guy that puts these together is a fantastic amateur video producer. No talking or wasted time asking to like and subscribe, just good footage and excellent editing. Most videos are action shots of heavy duty trucks being repaired or reinforced. The truck art that many of the Pakistani truck owners add often seriously overloads their trucks, so major modifications to handle the extra tonnage are required.
If you check out some these videos you'll see solid good work, usually with basic hand tools. Rarely do the workers even use ratchets.

Feel free to comment about this channel and share one of you favorite tool or repair channels also

I'm sure Welding tips and Tricks has been mentioned, if not that's one. Fireball tool too.

Aaron Ross - He's a pipeline welder that does odd jobs. Not sure why but generally entertaining and informative.

Bad Obsession Motorsports is the best. Project Binky kills. These guys are miles ahead of anything on Motor Trend or any Discovery Channel garbage. Now, it's time to get the funk out.

I enjoy Outdoors with the Morgans.

Mike seems like a nice guy who just "retired" last week from being a heavy and highway master blaster to do YouTube from his place in PA doing firewood, running his saw mill, etc. full time.

He tells about his work history. Quitting his real job to do YouTube starts about 11:00 mark.

Another fairly new one is Ivan's Shed. It's about an aging English mechanic/racer and his various projects with older English and other European vehicles. The guy's an old school genius, has a great sense of humor too. Highly recommended.
