Tightened up the old manual style belt tensioner on the 1989 Mazda. The power steering pulley went bad for the second time in a year. This time I ordered the factory bearing I’m just going to replace the bearing this time instead of the whole pulley which cost $100 on eBay with the bearing in it. In the meantime I just tightened it up because it’s so hard to steer I just don’t have access to a press since I can’t set up the one I have in my basement.

He used to drag race Harley Davidson motorcycles. I think he might have been sponsored by Harley at one point? He also owned a dealership too. Good guy knowledgeable old school Harley Mechanic / Rider. Here's to you Jim!
Nice!

My comment was a nod to a few other threads in Free Parking where Harleys were being beat on. I run Mobile1 in mine.

Ran some conduit... Two sections of pallet rack are going on this wall, every upright will have an electrical drop.

The flex drop coming down from the attic was already there - it was the only outlet in the garage other than the ones on the ceiling for the garage door openers.

Put a new battery in the mower. The other one lasted 7 years so not bad.

If you're getting 7 years from OPE batteries you're doing something right. Best I can do is about 4 and that is taking them out of the equipment and charging them intermittently during the off season. And I thought 4 years was good. When I had my business most of my clients were only getting about 2 because they just left them in year round with no maintenance nor any attention at all until they got a no start and brought them back to me.

Tidied up primary bench while waiting for my wife to arrive at the cottage. Brought a lawnmower and water cooler to the neighbor across the street for him to scrap.

Went out to check my fishing gear I layed out on the bench and floor to dry.
I rolled my kayak last Thursday. My 7' baitcaster was in a rod holder, snagged a low hanging branch and I didn't notice. As I was moving along, I turned the boat and the pole had just enough leverage to roll me over. Lost four rods, my cell phone and one Keen sandal. My cousin's son found everything except on sandal. Broke a crank on one of my two Rod Geeks travel combos, broke the rod on the other. I have no idea how they broke. Everything in my tackle bag was OK, but got a little wet. Phone is working perfectly (so far).

Went to a rental and measured for something to cover a window A/C that the HOA objected being on public view. I plan to build a bench to screen it from “Karen”, the A/C has been in that wlndow for at least 12 years and I am now just getting a complaint about it.

Currently trying to get motivation to get out in the shop. It's a slow morning.

This week's video is off a standard issue oil change on the channel icon truck. I take a brief moment to rant about all the negative commentary floating around the web about Fram oil filters. I like orange can Fram oil filters. I think they are a good product. Check out the video of you are bored or interested in how 83' Fords get their oil changed!
