Way to limit those acquisitions, Provincial! Nice haul!

Barcelona? They were saying the tools went fast. I should have gone there first. Even at 1130 I was surprised these were still there.
One other sale had a vise “not for sale”, a Craftsman with the Chevron, they thought too hard to remove, 2 carriage bolts. But everything else was really high, so I didn’t push harder.
BTW, you moving some vises on CL? Couple of nice pieces there.

You guys down the peninsula are killing it. At least your Champion S wrench has the N frontwards. Here is my haul for the day. Stopped at 6 garage / estate sales, got a late start due to having to walk the dogs before the heat got bad. Probably hit these in the wrong order, as the last estate sale had the best stuff, but was hardest to get to. Here it is, left to right. #20 (1-1/4") ships auger, heavy duty appliance power cord, 3-1 motor oil, clawed hewing hatchet, MacBeath box with 2 no name x-Acto knives, 3 tiny screwdrivers, Champion S wrench S01, Braunsdorf Mueller 8" wrench, Lubriplate tube NIB, Swedish Eskilstuna pliers, Barcalo Buffalo pliers, Irwin modified screwdriver, made in USA hex ratchet, 10" made in USA hex bar, None Better 5/8 3/4" stamped wrench with square hole.
I also grabbed this pair of cheap parts boxes, really rusty, but tolerably made. Rodes Stamping LA is the maker. You can see the rust that is the norm around here. Will get a quick sanding and spray bomb, at least on the shell.
The prize was a 12" Union combination square, with scriber and working level, also the most expensive, but diluted down by other items which came cheap.
Lots of other goodies, but nothing really memorable, except a KFog blanket (for the locals).
The bold italic stuff is up for grabs if someone needs it to complete a set.

How do I get email notices following this thread in the new format. I'm not getting any
I agree on that. I decided to put one on the email thing just to see and never got an email when it was posted in. On my other Xenforo forums the admins have it set up to where when you reply to a thread you automatically are subscribed and get email notifications which I like except getting tons of emails. Yes that is how Xenforo is set up if you don’t click on a notification it won’t send another for the same thread until you view that thread again. The Forum is Iffy on watched threads, (at least for me) if you do not actually visit the watched thread, the notifications "go Dormant" this is not individually, in the old format visiting the site wold get them going again. now its thread by thread. Annoying and sometimes I want to see the thread, immediately, and sometimes I'l let it go for a bit before visiting directly again.
I now keep a tab open for "watched threads" so if one does NOT email me, I'll see it on refresh, again, the forum is iffy on this. Some simply don't sent a notice, and its not clear why.
I've done worse. The Mrs. just shook her head. Not the first time. Will show more and the rest of the haul later. Just thought you all would get a chuckle out of it
agree with bmr that was unnecessary and doesnt belong here
Its gone, so removing my comment.
Perhaps that ignorant gentleman belongs on a different site where many banned former GJ members have transitioned. He may find others there with similar beliefs.

Now that thathas been dealt with...
I run the same setup the other guys run...I bought a hand truck from Home Depot with air filled tires... don't get the ones with hard tires, they are tougher to pull around. I take a 5 gallon home depot orange bucket and set it on the foot and use 2 ratchet straps around the framework and the bucket to secure it. This way I can put tools inside and if I find something heavy , I can set it on top and take it to the car. I too used to carry stuff around because I thought a hand cart would wear you out but it is actually less fatiguing. Plus when I am not at swaps, I take the bucket off so I can use it to move around other heavy stuffYou Oregon guys sure did good at the swap meet!
I’m sure this is a pretty dumb question but how does everyone carry their loot around the flea/swap meet? Do you just make trips back and forth to your car? I ask because there isn’t a lot of stuff around here like that so I pretty much only shop at garage sales. There is a swap meet coming up in Spokane that I plan on going to and I want to show up prepared
Thanks for looking outAs Provincial said, that is collectible. In fact, there is someone around here who is looking for some of those, Smokeshow.
And it is way too hot here to even think about going on the hunt. Mostly because anyone who would have a sale is huddled around their AC unit.
