Does anyone know where to get a T70 socket in 3/8 drive? I can only find them in 1/2 drive, I prefer 3/8 since that’s what I use the most, I don’t use 1/2 much, Thanks in advance.

Yep, as ex-x-fire says, just get a 3/8" female to 1/2" male adapter.

The only T70 I've encountered in my little shop is the compensator sprocket bolt on her Harley. As I remember, the torque recommendation is 175 ft. lbs. It takes my trusty (not made in) Pittsburgh 24" breaker bar with a substantial cheater to break it loose. I'm not sure what the intended purpose of the OP is. But that compensator sprocket bolt would likely stress any 3/8" drive tools beyond what I like to do to my tools.

Punch the bit out of the 1/2 drive and put it in a 3/8 drive socket.

Just to give an idea of size, the Apex bit below has a 5/8 hex:

If you want reduced diameter, something like this 10mm hex might work:

Yea, it is as it is for a reason. You're going to need a shitload of torque to break free a bolt that big. 1/2" drive is needed. In my case I use an impact bit as I'm too old and weak to use a breaker bar at this late date. Big Milwaukee or Aircat 1250K will teach these a lesson.

Some Subaru front differentials used it in their drain plugs

While I agree that 1/2 would usually be better, but as stated below, I need it for subies, and I want 3/8 simply for the reason I have a extra long handle 3/8 drive, and no long 1/2 ratchet, since I rarely use them. Me and my partner in the bay next to me had one that we shared, but he recently moved on and took the bit with him, hence why I’m searching now. But the Astro set above looks like just what I need
