I’m a *****. In a hurry yesterday I dropped a philips bit into my hex driver. Can’t get a grip on the bit. Tried two pair of Chanel locks. No go!

Any ideas how do I get this thing out?

I see the problem. Should have used JIS. Rookie mistake...

Edit: Glad you got it. If that ever happens again or if one breaks off, theres a circlip at the tip that holds the retaining sleeve, ball and spring in place. Once that is removed, it relieves the holding pressure and can really aid in extraction.

Your bit looks a bit short.....

Magnet
Pliers
super glue

Have had to deal with this myself once or twice. Hope you didn't drive any screws!
