I have been trying to clean and organize for over a month. BUT... scored a few tools that needed attention so that added to the mess during their refurb. Also plumbed shop air in an already crowded garage and getting to the walls/cieling just plain SukD. And have a car apart for a complete mechanical refurb too (parts everywhere). 3 months into the car and I am starting to get parts back on. I was spending way too much time trying to find Anything I needed. So yeah the mess got a whole lot bigger during the clean up. But now, a month later, I am starting to get a handle on it.

Been 3 cars at full rebuild since the shop has been tolerable to work in. It was past due.

And for Today...
I dug out all the seldom used Air Tools. Flooded them with oil and ran them a bunch to clean them out.
One 3/8in impact gun was seized up. Took 2 hours to get it freed up and the vanes all flowing about inside. Yeah air tools haven't been used much at all the past 4 years. But with an 80gal compressor now and the shop plumbed for air that might change.

Ordered a bunch of Milton V style couplers for all 12 air supply drops, all the tools and a couple hoses. I installed all I had and came to realize how many More couplers and fittings I still need to do the other 2 compressors, air tanks, hoses etc... Quick tally tells me, to convert Everything, I am looking at as much $$$ in air couplers as it cost me for all the plumbing and fittings to run the shop air. GRRR.

The 3 year warranty on my 40V Black and Decker grass trimmer expired and 2 weeks later so did the trimmer. Found a broken contact on the motor itself. Dont know how engineers plan that but soldered back together and works again!

I feel for you on the couplers. I did the same thing and now have buckets of M- and T-style couplers, all replaced with V-style. I also put two sets of G-style couplers on the 1/2" NPT Motor Guard filter, allowing me to bypass it quickly (don't look up the price of those G-style puppies if you have a heart condition). I spent a lot of time shopping for the V-style couplers and found places that had them on sale for a fraction of the MSRP. Sometimes Zoro had the best price and other times it was discount tool sites like JB Tools.

When I first started the conversion, rather than buy all new plugs and couplers, I made up some M- to V- adapters for those connections where a V-plug wouldn't go into an M-coupler (M-style plugs go into V-style couplers just fine). Took me a couple of years to make the switch on everything.

Simple stuff. Cleaning the garage, taking out the trash, organizing some of the tools.

I have a plan to remove the built in workbench for a new Husky one in the next month or two.

Yeah, JB Tools was the first batch order. The Milton Store on Amazon was the next best price for fittings, Some autobody supplier on ebay had decent prices on coupler 10 packs too.
I have seen where the aluminum V style fittings wear on the lip from the ball bearings. Also seen pics of the clone fittings breaking off inside the coupler. I didn't buy aluminum but had to mix brass and some steel fittings to get the minimum I needed. All couplers I bought are brass for the wall drops. .

Cleaned up my shop. Moved all my scrap steel into a box that I can move around the shop. Pulled out my wood splitter and split some biscuits that had been laying around for a while. The wife got tired of seeing the wood piled up. All I have to do is clean up all the bark. I'll post pictures later.

Moved in the majority of the old garage to my new one. Time to organize it all……that might be tomorrow’s project with nascar on TV.

she wants to head back to the old one to move down more stuff which will allow me to grab my DD car and the shop stereo. Want to finalize packing too so next time I bring the half ton down, I should be able to make it the last load.

Put away all my pawn shop finds that I got for $20. They love me at the pawn shop I think probably lol. Been going there two and a half years with my dad to get tools. I brought my box through the door and mom was like what the… did you get this time, more stuff to take up space 😆. I will say I do need more space haha.

Rotated the tires on the Shitbox Honda, cleaned all the dirt etc off the inside while I had them off.... So now the car has an immaculate engine bay & spiffy clean wheels.... while the rest of it looks like ****.

Actually in the garage for a change... Wife's passive entry on her grand Cherokee stopped working after the sub install. I was afraid it was from parasitic voltage loss from the LOC.

Did a quick Google and ran into a post where someone had work done on the back of their vehicle and their's stopped working too.

Immediately reminded me that there was a small connector on one of the parts I had left undone because I kept taking it in/out of the vehicle.

Sure enough, clipped the one sensor back on and everything is back to normal.

I cleaned it out because drywall is being delivered this next week. I dislike the texture ceiling so they CB are hanging an additional layer of drywall and will finish smooth, the common wall with the home will obviously be 5/8, and all others will be 1/2. I have next doors in the basement that will be installed following drywall and paint. The door to my back patio is a full glass with internal blinds and the one to the home is a different design than the ugly and bland 6 panel door. Obviously the doors are spec’d out with rot resistant jambs, ball bearing hinges, and bronze hardware. I have blocking installed for wall mounted cabinets and my custom pressure washer solution will be mounted on the wall. Next up will be new epoxy floors and new aesthetically appealing garage doors with side mount open openers. The next garage doors will be better insulated and I really want white powder coated rails. But that’s my progress for the weekend.

How does one tie down a trailer exactly? I'm not being facetious - I'm honestly curious about how you did it.
You get the big screw looking things with a hook on the end and run them into the ground. Then you ratchet strap the trailer to them. Works the same way as holding down temporary storage buildings.

I bought two large tie down straps, (3,333lb each rated capacity) and strapped the axle around the base of my fence. Each strap is 30' long, so I was able to do a single loop on each one. The snowmobile trailer weighs under 2,000lb with sleds.

For the front, I dropped the hitch down on the ground and took it off the jack. I live on a steep hill (just moved here) and was worrying about it being pushed and rolling down.

Made the rounds to Harbor Freight and Home Depot for things to build my latest project.

I will wait until I actually start cutting and fitting parts before I post pictures.

Made a mess. Today the garage was the staging area for swapping out my house electric panel. Cleaned up a lot of previosuly installed sloppy wiring, rewired for both my washer and dryer (previous was gas), eliminated some previously hidden junction boxes and installed a pair of grounding rods.

Now I just have to get the garage cleaned up and ready for a kitchen cabinet delivery next month and somehow magically come up with space so the wifey can parking there again.

I only now realized you guys were talking about the hurricane. 70 mile an hour winds is nothing, anything under 100 is barely noticeable lol

Disconnected my garage door openers (wiring and sensors), finished taking all my electrical plates off, now I wait patiently for the drywall hangers to show up on Thursday. I can’t wait for them to finish so I can move into paint.
