Yeah...it looks nice but can't see paying a ton of money on shop stools. Here is what I have.
OP, can you tell us what the diameter of the actual seat is? It is not even listed on their wbesite.
I bought this off the MAC truck. It is made in Ohio and seems to be well made. Was about $165.00. I really like it. It will probably outlast me, I’m a weekend warrior.

I use mine more for wiring outlets than I do in the shop!I won this in a drawing at my local Advance Auto a couple years ago. I think they retail for around $40. I don't have much use for it since I have a lift but it was free.

I'd never spend hundreds of dollars for a roller seat but I'm not telling anyone else how to spend their money. The one the OP posted does look really nice.
I steel a brown one of these out of the wife's kitchen when I need a stool in the garage
OP, how has the stool being holding up to use? Still pleased with purchase?
I have been wanting the MFH 1000 but am unsure if it would work good for rolling around my driveway washing cars. But I too am addicted to Festool and can’t imagine using anything else.I am already buying Festool machines. It took a bit of mental adjustment. Once you have tasted exquisite quality it is hard going back to stuff that is marginal.
Who knew that something as simple as a shopstool could be executed so well.
I also first saw this on OG. Definitely like the chair without a back but I also thought Matt was going to get one with a slightly smaller base. I need to check again. I have the Kranzle K1322, buckets, and all the packages. It’s nice having quality stuff to wash my cars.I've been looking for a seat myself and this came across on the OG site... I looked into Eidos chairs as well, marketed towards aerospace, made in the US. The model 106 has a hydraulic cylinder and similar specs to Vyper (the base is more compact) its ~$400 + shipping.
I can’t imagine the static height is as nice as being able to adjust for comfort. Thanks for sharing your experience! I think I’m going to order one now - but I’ll prolly get the OG one to match my other garage gear. It's still mint and still glad I bought it. They've also come out with a slightly different model that is a little less pricey as well. It doesn't have the acme screw height adjustment, so its a static height, but still the same quality
You'll be happy with the purchase once you put it togetherDamn it. Some posts are just kinda mean. Not sure if I want to thanks you or smack you, but the timing is auspicious. My crappy shop stool broke yesterday and my mad money account is pretty full as I just sold a few of my Lie Nielsen Planes. I bought the elevated, black seat, red frame, black wheels and I can’t believe I have done it. I think I should smack you, but thanks!
But remember, for problems with hard stools, Miralax to the rescue!I think the worst workshop stool I ever found was when the dog accidentally got locked in the basement all day.
What color combo did you get? That's the chair I'm looking at. Thanks, and hope you enjoy your new chair!Got mine ordered it is the Robust Steel Max with backrest, It was on sale $100 off (allegedly) and I found a $25.00 discount code so it was $500 all in. I don't mind paying for quality products and like the saying goes "I am not rich enough to buy cheap stuff" I like to cost avg. items so over a 5 year period it will cost me $8.33 a month. I can justify that.
I went all black was looking at the gray as well but my toolboxes are green my Vacumaid vac is yellow so didn't want to many colors going on. I figured the Black would not show as much dirt and grime not that I see that as being a issue. I used code "Alex" for the extra $25.00 discount. What color combo did you get? Hopefully not for gynecologist exams.I use a Medical Exam Stool from Office Depot.
I have the same, unbranded, don't remember where I bought it and a couple of multipurpose metal milk crates.I bought this off the MAC truck. It is made in Ohio and seems to be well made. Was about $165.00. I really like it. It will probably outlast me, I’m a weekend warrior.
