Really liking all these great ideas! I hope this fits.
I have been reworking my old bench to gain storage and started by pulling the 1x8’s that were bracing the front and replacing them with uni-strut. It gained 5-6” of height both above and below the shelf and the uni-strut is a good place to hang things too. With the added height, I built a couple big drawers on casters for below. I am using them for power tools.

Is it true that Mr Snuffaluffagus is actually a ground sloth? Always thought he was a Woolly Mammoth.:headscrat

Googled it. He's actually a Giant Woolly Anteater. Who da thunk it?

I plan to do this too but with the premade plastic legs I used the drawer depth will end up shallow but useable for things like drop cloths, sand paper, instructions for power tools, etc.

I wish there would be more room but I still need this kind of stuff so it may as be stored there!;)

Space is a premium always it seems and tarps are a pain to shelf store. I think you will be glad you added them. The drawers give me a little over 10 square feet of storage up off the floor. I bought these non-swivel caster wheels off amazon so the drawers would pull out straight and not be prone to wander. I selected them for their low 1.3” height and because are rated for 22 pounds each. I used 6 under each drawer.

Here’s what I did. 2 Metal Husky cabinets from Lowe’s. Large size Husky totes from Home Depot. Pretty simple set up but it serves its purpose for me well.

I do actually probably have OCD. The first set of shelves is for my wifes stuff. (House decorations mosty), while the second set is mine. And yes, they are labeled.

Total cost was less than 700.00. I know that seems a little pricey but Im glad I have it.

You’ll be in trouble if you ever want more of those bins, and find they don’t make that style/color anymore! :D

Yeah, that’s happened to me.

Here is a start. Getting the garage organization set so vehicles will fit and everything is easy to find.

I only had books before, a few posters of cars my friends made for me out of wood. But how I love that you can organize everything on the wall. I'm going to do some renovations.

I suppose SIXTEEN chainsaws is no more unusual than say 10-12 ratchets.....though they take up a helluva lot more space! Lol

Yeah, I assumed this was a business storage system, but if it's a private chain saw collection to compete with the guy that has 30 ball peen hammers...then instead of Kudos I'll give it a WTF. I think I see 20 if you count the two on shelves.

Regardless it's a pretty slick idea, and seems to store lots of stuff...I can't quite see how they are attached to the uprights (handle hooks?) and at first I thought maybe there were notches between the sandwiched uprights with the chain bars shoved through but I think I see at least one (second from the bottom left side) where the bar is alongside the upright not through it.
I really like the tree trunk storage unit. ---> Link

I didn't even notice the two on the shelves!

I've been around here a long time and I didn't know about someone with 30 ball peen hammers, yikes!

Sound like we need a "Non-Commercial, Most of 1 Kind of Tool & How You Store/Display Them" thread. Obviously, FreudianFloyd and the ball peen hammer guy belong. Someone will chime in with 50-60 vice grips or weld clamps. Can't wait to see what people collect.

Hahaha, it is a collection but I collect by buying and flipping saws, and keeping the ones I like.

Also, there are probably 20 saws not shown in the picture.

You guys mentioned ratchets and vice grips and ball peen hammers? I have 25 ratchets and at least 25 sets of vise grips and at least six different size ball peen hammer’s. I think I might need help LOL:Help:

In my defense, the vice grips are mostly pairs of all different types, from tiny little needle nose vise grips, up to 18 inch long clamp type vice grips. The hammers came as a kit. I don’t have a good excuse for the ratchets LOL, but a lot of them came with other tools that I had bought has lots.

We won’t talk about screwdrivers LOL

Low tech, not very neat, but free and it gets the console
for the Whaler out of the way for the time being. Here's hoping now that I can move around the boat I can hopefully get something done to it this winter!
