They got the windows and doors framed, and wall purlins up today. Should have the doors and windows in tomorrow and started on sheeting. Spray foam on Thursday. So they have a time line to meet.

Nice build, that's a big lot for DFW! My brother lives in the area.
And sweet 95 Cobra, i used to work for the company that built the engines for those cars.

Wow that's moving right along... congrats! Pulled a truck in yet to get a sense of scale and to grin while walking around?

I haven't even been home since the forms were started. Tuesday though, I'll be home for a week.

Floor gets coated on Wednesday and I'll start moving in the mountain of Husky cabinets on Thursday.

First chance to check it out. It's freaking huge. We had a hiccup with the shower drain or tye vent, one of the two. But my shower pan won't fit until one or both are moved. Ugh20211219_103326.jpg

Driveway getting poured tomorrow...or Monday. Would have been today but delayed in the concrete deliveries. 20211221_140257.jpg

Floors were supposed to get coated today too. That also got pushed to tomorrow.

Oh well, it gave me the day to unbox all the cabinets.

I bet that was a nice sight to come home to, second to the family of course. Looking good!
It absolutely was.

We spent last night breaking it in. We got a lot of visualization done; how to do walls, cabinet layout, bar, etc

And the floors getting coated right now!! I might even get a driveway poured today!

Real happy with the Hudky heavy duty stuff. Still waiting on another base cabinet. Then need to start securing everything and mounting the overhead cabinets.

this Milwaukee branded hand truck was a life saver.

The plan is to mount a solid 4x8 worktop to both benches and combine them into 1 big table. And add casters.

playing with the layout

I have a couple of those base cabinets coming mid January. I hope to add more in time. Floors look great too!
I jumped on Home Depot's black Friday sale. They were 30% off. Spent my budget but got more for my money.

This kid thinking she is going to mark out her territory in MY garage! She crazy!

He used a sunken plate system with 6 long bolts welded to the bottom upside down in the form to weld the uprights iron too

Not sure how I want to approach this. This is my water line that is coming up for the hose bib. It SHOULD be in the wall form. Missed it by 6-8" though. Now it is coming up my walkway.

We did not do piers. I think we will be fine. My concrete guy is the builder and he's over built the slab.

I'm 5'+ to bedrock. I know exactly 5' because I just hammered in my ground rod. 😆

Doors are in!!!

Power company came out today also for a survey. $2,800 is hard to swallow for a trench and power line ran 189 feet and a meter connection but they have me by the short hairs.

I got the car and most of the other garage moved over. Still tons of organizing to do.
