Clark is inside, it is supposed to be really cold this weekend and I need to use it to unload all the aisle saver racks. Now I am headed to pick up some 4x4s for the trailer load and a few other things that I will need. Then it is back to work on the Blue Burb.

I have to say Strouty, Clark the all terrain forklift, is an awesome piece of equipment. I'm happy to see that it is being used consistently and is not down for "upgrades". I know you had talked about paint, etc, but I think having it functional as is has been a great benefit to you.

Does it have a hitch on the back? Or a fifth wheel?

So once the Blue Burb is running and you have the new head thing in the fork lift, how long do you think it'll take you to get this and the racking system up?

I think all the racking systems for the SG will be in the Spring/Summer I have to move too much stuff outside to do it during the winter. I am going to continue to work on the Stak Rack as a temporary setup, then some of this new shelving will probably get installed in the conex that has the least amount of stuff in it. The rest will be stored for the winter, some inside, some outside.

Clark will end up getting an overhaul, but not until Benson is up and running, I do however need to change all Clark's fluids, add a hand throttle, and rebuild the carb. Once Benson is done, then Clark will get some attention.

To answer the question about the hitch, currently there is no hitch of any kind, I do need to address that at some point.

Decided to haul the Blue Burb down to Connecticut so we have a dedicated truck to haul all the tools back with, this way I have the F-350 bed for things and the 22’ trailer, should be able to get everything in this last trip, although it may be another long day, most likely will be.

It was cold for sure, just got home, almost got everything, had to leave a few shelves behind, ran out of steam and time. The rails weren’t too bad, we just pulled up the subfloor and chipped the grout until the popped up, then some need to be persuaded with a pry bar.

We are going to have that tomorrow, should turn into rain, then freeze up, so I probably need to get the sander back in the F-350.

It's a balmy 3* here. Guess it's a good day to put insulation in the ceiling of the shop. Are you done going to CT for the shelving?

Had to make 6’ fork extensions reach a bit over 8’ for the second time today, I think maybe I need some 9’ extensions, probably be safer. Would also be nice if Benson was operational, rather than in the way. 97663336-E7A6-4828-86B8-80DCB27F6053.jpegED193C74-14D3-4F57-A26C-4817F5F4CF41.jpeg6D56B35E-6977-439F-82D8-066DE89709B8.jpeg8E6343F5-B37B-4FD7-BA8C-3B47B90B61DC.jpeg

Regarding Clark, there's a channel on youtube i follow called Salvage Workshop. He just picked up a Clark all wheel drive, all wheel steer forklift. He's looking for more info on it, but you might enjoy that one. Everything looking good!

I saw that video already, that is a nice unit, minus the air over hydraulic brakes. I am pretty sure he has the exact same mast as Clark.

I didn’t get everything I wanted to done, will have to finish unloading the Blue Burb tomorrow after it stops precipitating.

That guy got really lucky, someone had already upgraded the engine, I would much rather have that Perkins than any of the other factory options.

I have a continental Diesel engine that may end up ion Clark, it should be a direct swap since it is the same engine, just not gasoline powered. That would help overall as the diesel would have more low end grunt and it would be less likely to stall, right now I have to constantly be on the clutch and throttle, I think a diesel would be clutch and brake, much more controllable when on a slope.
