I think this is an easy question, but I realize this question could be teetering on the "what kind of shoe is better, Nike or Reebok?" but, any help is appreciated.
Some Details:
* Garage is 600sf w/9' ceilings. 1 Wall is pretty much all garage doors.
* It is finished in drywall with a "hot mud?" final coat on joints; very smooth.
* I want the final paint to be something that can be easily wiped off like a kitchen wall (semi-gloss?).
* I live in California; climate is warm and reasonably dry.
* Money is not a concern within reason (say under $1k for primer/paint).
* I have plenty of stores nearby; Costco, HomeDepot, Lowes, etc.
* I have near zero paint knowledge.
My Questions:
* Should I primer first? If so, any particular type (prevents mold, or special for whatever type paint I should use in the next question?)
* What type of paint best fits the desire to be able to easily wipe off most splatters/spills (e.g. grease, etc.).
Responses/Opinions/Experience is appreciated.
Thank you,
Todd
