Rustoleum hammered silver. Took 4 cans.
I find old tool box freshening therapeutic as well. You did a great job on this one! Thanks hoorn. I find fixing these old toolboxes somewhat therapeutic. A good way to work off stress and always fun to see the results!
WOW what a great job OTG!Finished up the 3 drawer today. Disabled the lock mechanism as don't have key.

There isn't much left of this Heritage decal.
I didn't even realize it was a CRAFTSMAN hammer until I got it home.
It is small, but very solid; with rivets running all the way through the head and one through the handle as well.
I tried to talk myself into leaving it behind; saying, "you already have a rawhide hammer." I'm glad I didn't listen to that voice of reason. I like this one better.

I can’t believe you left those behind but maybe you are running out of space? That 2 drawer isn’t super desirable but it is super tempting because it is so clean. The hatchet handle with the water slide logo mostly intact sure would be tempting just because the logo is pretty nice

Good eye. I didn’t notice that. Now I see the color in light it isn’t correct. It's a respray(handles attached with phillips screws, latch painted), but looks fairly straight and clean. For $75 I probably woulda snatched it regardless but I'm a hoarde...er I mean collector.![]()
Some of the earlier Heritages were inverse colors. No one knows why. Some have guessed that they were maybe some of the earliest Heritages, but there's no real way as of yet to know for sure.why is mine blue and what goes in this box?

Thanks! I probably have about 15 hours into it including cutting, sanding, finishing and then the layout as wellnice work
Always cool to see the old packaging. Nice find!I was given this angle-drive 10-piece kit recently.
I actually quite like the patina on that box. Has that been there done that look without much damage. Here's a clunker

Well don’t you just ****
