Garage build as follows:

30x50 garage
Concrete - 6" mono concrete pour with 3' footings with 3 electrical conduits running underground from one side to the other for ease of wiring receptacles
2x6 walls with 12' ceilings
14x10 insulated front garage door
9x9 insulated rear garage door - off set to the right side of the garage
Load bearing second floor with house style stair well (4' wide)
Sloped concrete floor to a center drain
Plumbed for a toilet & 2 sinks
100 amp service
Full RV hookups (50 amp & sewer hook ups)

Update...roofing is complete and siding will be complete on Monday.

I am going to paint it myself, so for the last several days I have been caulking and caulking. This weekend I will finish the caulking (did I say I hate caulking?) and I will prime the cedar wrap arounds for the front garage door and the rear garage door with a nice oil based paint. My bad for not posting a picture of the rear of the garage. I will take one and post it this weekend.

Monday (maybe Sunday) & Tuesday I will paint it, hopefully that will include brushing all the trim.

Not sure when the garage doors will be here, hopefully soon, I want to start to be able to leave my tools in there secure so some clown doesn't steal them.

Here are several pictures of the rear of the building. It looks a little plain, but I will be adding a framed and shingled lean-to to the rear for additional storage in the future.

Update.....

The outside is all but finished. I am working on the interior stairwell and a wall or two, running wiring, plumbing, water and air lines.

When the above mentioned items are basically completed I will post some interior pictures.

Update......

Little snowy outside today (shut the schools down and the Air Force base where I work) so I thought I'd take some interior pictures and post them.

I got all the airlines in and all the water lines, drains and vent lines in. The black insulation on the lines is for UV protection, for the 1/2 pex water lines and the 3/4 pex air lines, from the sun shining through the windows and doors. Overall, there are 7 airline drops that will be fed by a 60 gallon 240v compressor with a 30 gallon auxiliary tank(the aux tank will be in the attic).







Lower sections of the stairs finally built....they connect to an platform that is 8' long with an overlook to the rest of the garage. You then horse shoe and go up a second flight of stairs to the second floor.

Eventually I will insulate the ceiling, walls, put OSB up for covering, install 3/4 tongue and groove flooring upstairs, finish the second set of stairs.

-The ceiling has 10 160w LED lights and 3 60" ceiling fans(pre-wired now, won't put up until OSB ceiling is installed and painted).

-Each wall has 2 20 amp circuits and each 2 gang has one of each circuit in the box. The west wall has a 240v 50 amp welding circuit and the south wall has a 240v 30amp compressor circuit.

-The East wall has a 30 amp RV circuit and a 20 amp RV circuit along with a 20 amp circuit for a refrigerator.

-I haven't quite figured out how I will do the upstairs just yet....work in progress.

-Exterior has 2 hose bibs and 3 weatherproof receptacles. There is also a hose bib (in addition to a sink) inside the garage.

-Three recess cans in the soffits on a photocell (one can over the man door and one on each side of the 14'x10' garage door.

After the walls are finished (insulation & OSB) I will build the workbench's, with drawers, and a built in miter saw table with some type of dust collection system.

Last night I finally finished the stairs to the second floor.

Let me tell you, Stair stringers are a real pain, especially if you have to go between two fixed points and you are using 2x12x14's, mistakes can be expensive.

Fortunately, I was able to get it right the first time on both sets of stringers. If you are looking to do stair stringers, download this app, it really, really good. Stairs-X Lite, just plug in the numbers and it provides all the information needed to include pictures.

Your building looks awesome - I'm curious if you considered putting the first flight of your staircase against that far wall then only have a 90 degree turn. I'll guess you wanted the stairway access close to the front door?

As with many garages, wall space is at a premium, so parallel to the first flight stairs and that platform will be a sink and work bench and all along the long wall to the electrical panel will be a work bench which will include a miter station.

By creating the horseshoe stairwell, I preserve the wall space.

Since the stairs are finished I took a couple of pictures of the upstairs (from the rear looking forward)....of course without the floor. I need to take a couple from the front looking rear.

What’s your plan for the second floor? So far the building looks good.

Will the staircase impede anything?

The second floor......mainly storage, I will build shelves and work platforms.

In the future, the forward most section, I will patrician off about 15-20 feet of it and build a room, it will have a door and a window that looks out on the storage part. You can't see it in the picture, but it is plumbed for a drain so I can have a sink up there. There is pex right there also for hot and cold water, wherever I may put it......haven't decided just yet.

I don't understand the question about the staircase impeding anything?

Densified with Foundation Armor L3000
Filled all the expansion joints with Sika Gray Fast Setting Polyurethane
Sealed the floor with NP8400 Clear Water based Acrylic Sealer

It will work great for oil, gas not so much.

See the PDF for how it holds up to various chemicals. Not sure that much is really going to hold up to gasoline or brake fluid.

I live in Mulvane and was away on an ATV trip just south of Springfield.....the wife said we just got lots of rain and some small hail. The front /tornados that hit Andover hit where I was at, at 4 in the morning....lots of wind and rain but nothing serious.

I'm out by the Augusta airport, so the tornado passed about 1 mile west of the house - it's the second tornado I've actually heard. I've seen quite a few. We were very fortunate. The worst thing for us was Kellogg closing between Santa Fe Lake road and the YMCA for a few days. Made it a hassle to get out of the area.

Very minor issue compared to some of the losses around us. BTW.. If you're reading this in the area and you need cleanup help in the area, drop me a message. I've got a truck, car hauler, tools and some storage space if you need it.
