Mended a favorite old shirt, the first time I have done hand sewing in more than 40 years. The shirt was torn where the front body joins the yoke. I was fortunate to find a needle in the sewing box Mrs Nadogail inherited from her mother that had an eye large enough to thread with my 82 year old eyes. The wooden spool the thread as wound on is probably almost an antique. I guess sewing by hand is like riding a bicycle; once you have done it you can do it again as long as you can climb aboard.

Took the engine support bar out of the dining room and onto the impala.

I was going to pull engine/trans as one, but decided against it. I’ll just have to deal with the rust underneath.

Spent two hours cleaning the shop, got about half way done. FIL is coming over this Saturday w/ a table top he is building to try out the epoxy thing. He wants to use my shop as his is too messy (his words, it's a wood working shop). Hopefully it turns out good.

Got the 230v circuit finished for the new lift. Added a disconnect switch as well. Can now stack a couple cars and free up a garage bay

Dismantled my 3/8 Matco ratchet & put some Lubriplate in it.

Dismantled, inspected & fettled the rear brake on the ZRX1100.

Had a look at the Dot3 in the ZRX1100 clutch m/c, buggered one of the screws that holds the cover on. Hand impact sorted that. Will be getting 4 M3 countersink allen screws at Lowes this weekend.

Oil change on my DD before the wife takes it on a road trip. Same car had been to the Honda dealer this week for an axle recall. I'm OK with free axles for a 12 year old car. Found their wheel alignment sucked. On two visits found that angles were all over the place. At least on the second try they got the steering wheel straight. They replaced the wheel speed sensor they broke and when I got home found they hadn't latched the hood. That's OK, I was going to change the oil anyway. I didn't get mad at them. I've accidentally ripped the wire during and axle change myself.

Moved a bunch of plants back outside after last night's frost. Fixed the parking brake on the riding mower so it doesn't roll away when I get off to pick up a stick. Cleaning up the mower deck now and getting that ready to go on.

I won't be doing anything today. I've done something to my left wrist while sleeping & will going to Walgreens to get a brace after I've 3S'd. Probably get the same kind I have for my right wrist that gets used when the non-union scaphoid fracture/bone graft opens up.

Edit: and now my right knee gave out in the shower...almost went *** over teakettle

Went to Walgreens, no joy (altho I did find a boonie hat), went to a local family owned pharmacy & found just what I was looking for...

& as I was in the area I dropped by Horrible Fright...

Then I took the Doyle dikes & duckbills to the fiber deburring wheel, cleaned up the finish & knocked down the sharp corners etc.

Does ON my garage count? Okay so maybe it was on the house, but it's right by the garage! I noticed a few shingles were loose last week so when I went to town I picked up a pack of shingles, a tube of tar and roofing nails. I was going to do them tuesday but snow pushed that back till today. I had to pull a couple more shingles down than I'd expected and there's one more that replacing couldn't hurt but it's not moving and everything got a good coating of tar, myself included. :cautious:
