Pulled the carbs on the 750 Nighthawk and started cleaning. I'll get it running and then not ride it and then I'll have to do it again in a few years. This is probably the fourth time I've had them off - this time I should just sell it once I get it running since I don't really ride it.

Are you using pegboard or something else for your hole pattern? I really like the idea and think it is a nice alternative to foam.

Got up to the cottage and did the official opening. Gazebo, deck furniture and first BBQ of the season. Still a bit of snow in shaded are under the trees!

Moved trailers around - need to replace a tube on the garden trailer. Cleaned up the garage, still needs spring cleaning and plugging of holes to deal with a chipmunk who seems to be squatting in the rafters.

Broke the snowblower. Sigh. Tried to pull wheel to replace valve, yanked the spline and hub out of drive mechanism. Bought the blower new in 2007, I guess I can't complain. Now, to send to shop for major overhaul (it has other "issues") or to replace. At least I have the summer to decide.

1 week vacation planned at the end of May. I'll do a few more repairs and then enjoy!

I believe I have that same model. I've had it about a year and I like it. I put tap water in mine and put the part in a bag or jar with the cleaning chemical in it. I think I got the idea from project farm on youtube and it has worked well.

You can use any container that fits, just be sure you have enough water in the primary tank and then the secondary container can be easily cleaned.

I have a 1 gallon and I often use the lower section of an old 5L oil bottle.

The gas did contain Sea Foam on this last go around. Having said that - when I drained the float bowls before I pulled the carbs they were empty. Seriously - it sat that long without running.

Transmission fluid and filter changed On the 96 F150. Need to take it out on the highway to test it out to see if it was the transmission fluid was the culprit of not shifting properly or the truck just doesn’t like having a load on it.

Carbs are assembled and the bike is back together except for the battery. I have a feeling I'm going to have to replace it - I can't even tell you how old it is. It was only showing 5.5 volts when I pulled it and I've been charging it but it hasn't gotten above 10.5 volts yet - but I'm only using a 1 amp charger.

You may want to read about using an Arc Welder to recondition a battery. I have not tried it myself yet, but distilled water is as close as the local market.

I have a feeling that buying an Arc Welder might cost me more than a new battery. I have distilled water here - the level was barely below the minimum line so it wasn't dry. I initially hooked it up to my Battery Tender but didn't make any progress - when I watched it with a meter it would apply random voltages for about a second and then rest for a few seconds. No progress was made - it seemed to be confused about what to do. So I switched to a 'dumb' 1 amp charger that I had and that's the only reason it's at 10.5 volts now. I thought maybe this morning that it was high enough for the Battery Tender to do it's thing but it still just seemed to throw random voltages at the battery so I switched back to the other one.
I don't charge a battery of unknown health in the garage so it was unhooked last night. Altogether it really hasn't been charging for more than 6 to 8 hours on the good charger so there is still a chance it will recover.

Invest in an AGM or SLA, they don't leak, so there's less chance to cook them dry. I've got them in the tractor, Dingo, Burg, and now the Horse. They seem pretty tough and fairly long lives for the abuse I give them. I've got a HF wall wart battery maintainer. I've seen it actually turn off, which was a pleasant surprise. I now have maintainer plugs on all the machines.

Slathered and massaged my leather seats with Croftgate Leather Cream....

Changed PT Cruiser's oil and filter. Got lots of sun and kept cool by putting a threadbare white sheet on the driveway. Now that I'm done, clouds moved in and cooled things off. The driveway surface is only 110°F now.

Saturday I broke some things smashed my hand and bumped my head a few times, but I did manage to get some stuff accomplished! I moved a bunch of stuff from my main shop into my new rented storage garage behind my house. This place is a great addition! The only real issue is the door size. It makes getting things in and out tricky. Now my driveway is much cleaner and I have less junk in my workspace! Winning

Kay, based on him saying the battery was dry, I was going suggest the same thing. I like Yuasa AGM batteries. Coincidentally I use the same tender.

I've only ever used them in motorcycles, but I did used to treat them pretty rough..lol You crash a lot when you ride like I used to.

I used the pegboard as the 1 " hole pattern allows freedom of arrangement and then an 8-32 flathead screw from the backside tightens into the preformed hole. Thought about it a long time as foam has to be replaced/recut if you change or add a tool....
