Those seem like low prices. Anyone familiar with brand COO and quality?
Rebranded items from different manufacturers.

Here is a link to a prior discussion I located:

My wallet is about to get slapped again and after the Amazon Prime Day, I don't know how long until it leaves me for a kinder owner.

Where are you finding the deals?

Check your emails guys. I received an invoice. Not sure why.

Edit: Looked at my order. They seem to have changed the quantity of the triple square bits to 5 of each size instead of 1 each.

Bought the zebra t-handle.
If you turn the tool so it faces the floor, the bit holder falls out. Because there is no magnet.

Really strange.

Has anyone figured out where their tools are manufactured? I look at the pics and some say GERMANY while others have no country of origin marking on them. I'd rather buy the German stuff instead of the Asian stuff if I'm replacing certain tools. Specifically looking at the DBE wrenches since they're a good price.

My assumption is that it will all be Asian. I'll be surprised if anything I ordered is made in Germany.

The screwdrivers look like Felo, but I just don't know.

I received most of my order from Wurth today. I purchased a number of the circlip pliers, all of which are marked "Made in Germany" on the handles. I think that these are rebranded Knipex tools and are very nice. I also ordered a number of Zebra screwdrivers. These have no country of origin marked on them at all. I presume that they are NOT German. I also bought some Zebra wrenches to supplement my Stahlwille wrenches. When I ordered these, the photos on the Wurth website clearly depict the word "Germany" on the handles. I noticed other wrenches on the Wurth website have the word "Quality" instead of "Germany". The wrenches that I received have "Quality" on the handle. I presume that these are also NOT German.

The trend for even traditionally high-quality tool brands seems to be to outsource manufacturing from their German, US or French factories to locations offering cheaper labor. I too would rather have seen the word "Germany" on the wrenches and screwdrivers, but that is not the case. Going forward, I am going to assume that any tool without an indicated country of origin is manufactured in a lower cost country, such as China, Taiwan, India, etc. Time will tell whether or not the quality is what we have come to expect from the names.

That's too bad, I am hunting for a nice quality set of screwdrivers and I thought these might do it.
I think I will pass for now knowing they are not made in Germany.

I wouldn't say that we are 100% certain that the screwdrivers aren't made in Germany, but they certainly don't state that they are made there. Generally, I have found when tool companies are proud of where their tools are made, they are identified accordingly. Snap-on clearly states USA. Hazet and Stahlwille state Germany. I have some new Matco sockets that don't have any COO. The Zebra tools that I received have no indication of where they were made - either on the tools themselves or on their packaging.

German made screwdriver are not very expensive. You may want to have a look at Japan made ones from Vessel.

Thanks for this info. I think it's really helpful to have someone like you on the forum. Without trying to start an argument, when you say that the Wurth ZEBRA tools are imported from Kunzelsau, does that mean that the Wurth ZEBRA tools are also manufactured in Germany? I think this is what everyone who has ordered, or will order, is wondering! Thanks!

@WurthUSA

Is this a last chance, once the tools are gone they're gone for good sale or Is this simply a yearly inventory clearing sale?

I agree with antman in that I am very happy with the tools that I received, but am still curious as to the true COO. That being said, you can see that I over-ordered. These are not their final storage spots, but the tools look ok. One thing I will say about the wrenches - I remember how we used to pretend that we knew the sound of a Snap-on wrench when it hit the shop floor by the ring it made. These wrenches have the same crisp ring (not that I've been throwing them on the concrete floor).
