It's called Kool Deck. Although it doesn't really get that much "kooler" haha. We did the whole patio to match as well.

It's a textured skim coat and paint application basically. So yea, pretty much.....

My wife and I were married in Indiana in a very very small town in White county. There was literally a question on the marriage license application that said "are you related" haha. Back in the day when my parents where married they used to even make you take a blood test to be sure you weren't related

If you take 80 east on the road trip and run thru Nebraska I've got room for the family for the night or recommendations for food in Omaha metro area.

I appreciate that! We are flying, two long days in a car with 3 kids.....no thanks lol. I can make the drive in two long days but with young kids not something I want to attempt again just yet.

I get it, the more I travel with our 2 in a car the less excited I get about anything over about 6 hrs away... but we moved back closer to family several years ago so they'd either be 3 hrs or less by driving or a plane ride so it works out. Hopefully the air travel goes smooth, couple of the guys on my team doing significant travel have commented they're spending a lot more time in airports due to fight delays

Fremont is a highly exciting 25 minute drive outside of the Omaha metro to the northwest full of scenery youre used to in Indiana....houses and corn fields! I'm on the far south side of the metro and about 45 to 60 minutes from Fremont depending on traffic

I hear you. Mine are at that age of tired/bored = hungry. So any road trip seems to require a snack of some sort every 12 minutes. And then add that in with the pregnant wife's pee schedule......we can get about 45 minutes away from the house before the "are we there yet(s)" start rolling in from all parties.

I think the world of devices makes it worse now too. My youngest will get so absorbed in what he's doing/watching that he doesn't realize it's time for a pee stop until his back teeth are floating. Then it's an emergency RIGHT HERE moment.

None of my family likes to travel with me, my dad trucked for most of his life (on top of the farming)...so when we roll out, we have a purpose. I was also a territory manager for an AG manufacturing company for a lot of years, so I was covering about 125k miles per year. You only stop for fuel and that's the appropriate time for bathroom breaks and snack procurement.

One of my sisters lives in Mesa, it takes about 1.5days for me alone to make it driving from the Northeast corner of KS. I can't imagine doing that with family and then travelling on to Indiana!

My grandparents have had property in White County for 50+ years. It started out as a vacant lot that we used to camp on, then it got a single wide and an outhouse, then a small cottage, then many many years and some additions later and today it's 6bd 4bth house with 2 barns.

My wife and I got married at my grandparents house in their back yard.

My dad was the same way. You pee when I get gas or don't pee.....we rarely if ever stopped outside of fuel needs.

The last time I made the drive was before our oldest was born, so about 8 years ago. We have not attempted it since. We have driven to CA many many times but outside of that, we just fly these days. Thankfully my sister and BIL escaped and now live in Flagstaff so no more CA trips!

We do trips up to my sister's house quite often which is in Flag. It's about 120-ish miles. We do day trips up to visit and come back in the evening. So it's about 250 round trip give or take but split up into morning and night driving. The kids usually pass out all the way home so it's really only one way. So it's a nice compromise.

Similar to how we are doing it when we head back to my parents which is a 3 hr drive. Frequently starting Friday night after supper with the hope they both fall asleep early on...better luck with that on the 1 yr old then the older one. Return on Sunday is planned to start right after lunch during older ones nap time so we can hopefully get at least half the drive with her asleep though they both travel very well so are fortunate and hope we can keep that up.

Thank you! It is a Diamond C GTF car hauler. It's got upgraded 6k dual axles, removable fenders, a tool box in the tongue, and a factory winch plate on the deck. It's pretty sweet. Nice and low especially with the dovetail, makes it super easy for loading.

Very nice trailer. A gentleman I did some work for on an old square body Chevy this past winter had just bought one and I was quite impressed with it. Up until that point I was leaning towards a PJ trailer but I am really impressed with the Diamond C trailers now after seeing a few of them.

It is very nice. Worth a look if there is a dealer close. I didn't think price was to bad either for what it is. I like the frame design and beefier coupler compared to some. I like that you can get 6k axles, I believe they come standard with 3.5k's? They do have a full steel deck version which is what I really wanted seeing as the AZ sun just wrecks anything wood, but they didn't have one in stock and the next delivery of them wasn't coming for like 4 more months and I couldn't wait. Very nice trailers though. As things progress I might go back and get a bigger gooseneck version too and possibly a dump trailer as well.

Pay close attention to the welds if you go PJ. A friend stores his 2016 PJ at my house and the welds are a joke. My 18' is a 2002 and I have a 94 24' gooseneck. Both are great trailers, but I heard that they were bought out by another trailer company and quality went downhill. It sure seems true comparing my friend's newer trailer to mine.

A buddy came over today and we swapped out my thermostat in the shop for Redlink capable Honeywell until with remote temperature sensors. So now instead of the AC reading temp and running based on only one location it takes temps from remote locations and averages them. Should help even out some of the hot spots. It was always freezing in the back of the shop but still hot up in the front by the doors.

Had to drive up about 1-1/2 hours north for a job today. That was fun.

Well looks like I'll be back on this beast later this week. Hit a dead end on getting "in town" help up there so as they say if you want it done right do it yourself. Taking my best guy with me and we are going to try and knock out this entire house clean out in one day! Price of fuel as it is I really don't want to go back

Well....it's was only 6am-6pm but we did it. House is "empty" and ready for the junk hauler (which is not me too this time yeah! haha) We bagged a good 60+ (42 gal contractor) bags of trash, and sorted, boxed, loaded a whole cargo trailer worth of sellable items. I will drop it all off at the auction another day.

Hit up Leff-Ts steak house on the way out for dinner We pretty much stop there everytime we are near.

I forgot to take a before pictures but let's just say in most of the rooms the floor color was a little surprise for later

Sort of

This is a house that is in one of the estates that we are managing. Just getting it ready for sale, the owner passed away.

My normal day gig is accounting and financial/asset management for conservatorships, trusts and probate cases. Part of that is we have to clean out and prep properties for sale when the owner either moves, passes away or has squatters, so we do evictions too. I have employees that do this full time but this one was out of town and I wanted to make sure it all got done in one day rather than multiple trips.

The actual day gig sounds very interesting. I'm a CPA who has been stuck in the corporate financial reporting world most of my career.

Fertilized all the trees this morning and we got, Grapefruits, Apricots, Pears, Oranges, and Lemons all coming in now.






It was too hot to do much else today so I spent the afternoon in the pool with the kids. As they swam I pumice stoned all the calcium off the tile border.

Grabbed some to go dinner from a little Thai place, now just getting the kids ready for bed and then gonna sit down and have a few more of these before heading off to bed myself. Gotta get up early and take care of all the animals before church.

Took the family to church this morning and then came home and did some chores that needed to get done before we leave for vacation.

1) I finished up some billings for work so hopefully we come back to a mailbox full of checks

2) Had to remove the handle on the barn as it was broken so I just threw a latch over the hole.

3) Had to replace the gear module that controls the in floor cleaning system on the pool so we didn't come back to a swamp.

4) Had to take a beer break, that's where we are at right now...so maybe more to come lol.
