I got back to the Hill just in time to get the water hooked up and the Blurb loaded before the storm hit. Thunder and lightning and heavy rain! Chuck doesn’t seem scared of the thunder, we are hanging out playing with one of his stuffed toys.

Chuck is a funny wood Chuck, he seems to like things that they aren’t supposed to like, he definitely doesn’t want to be solitary. I felt bad tonight, he got fed way early and I left way early, so he will be alone longer tonight. I guess it is just a shift, but I still felt bad.

While those are cool, I am a 1995 to 1999 kinda guy.

Got the 5 ton dropped at the Hill, brought Perk back to the Tower site, now I am back at the Hill getting ready to feed Chuck. Feels like it has been a long day, but it really hasn't, I guess last week is catching up with me.

He likes to get into trouble. I wouldn't trust him with a harness on, he can squeeze himself and contort himself to fit into places, so I would imagine a harness would be pretty easy to get out of. I think it was because I didn't feed him early enough, I am usually around by 8 at the latest.

Dude is eating your house. Seems like a full time out door enclosure would be best.

Ordered the final pieces (I hope) to make the well pump setup essentially a permanent installation, they should be here tomorrow, the stainless braided hose and fittings probably won't be done until Wednesday, once that is completed, then I can put things back together. I am sure there are other leaks I will find under the house, but the plan was always to rip out existing and start over. I will have to tap into the existing cold water lines and water heater for a while, going to get a replacement water heater and redo the plumbing as I move the sinks and bathroom around.

As for the office, I have things scheduled with actual contractors that will show up, so I expect to see a lot of movement on that front during the month of September, would be awesome to get the office moved in before snow flies.

I am over at the SG gathering up things for tomorrow, not 100% sure what the direction will be, but I need to get the gate figured out for the tower site. This is where I am pushing to meet expectations, I also am ready for deviations, and I have alternative plans set too, no curve ball is going to keep me from being productive (famous last words!).

All my power bills came in over the last week, crazzzzzzeeeee. I am going to be paying about $1,000 this month, more than double the normal bills, I can't wait for this heat to back down a touch. The ACs are the biggest issue for sure, not going without them though. Got to pay to stay cooler.

Window shakers will do that to you. Efficiency Maine has money for Mini Splits, you should take advantage of it while they have it

Today was a long hot and sticky day. Didn't get a lot done on the gate, but got a lot done in the shop in order to make tomorrow and the next days go much smoother. We actually brought three more pieces of equipment into the SG and it feels like there is more room than when we started. I now have a pedestal grinder, belt sander, and drill press, plus we reworked the old Miller shop master welder so that it has the wheel kit from another welder I had (until today I had no idea that the parts would swap onto it). Now I have my welder, a bottle of Argon, and a bottle of CO2 mix all in one, before they were a mess and you had to do all kinds of finagling to get the welder setup. We did mess with the bearings, we know what has to be done to make our gate pivot, it may end up being too smooth, so we have also come up with a sort of brake that will slow things down a bit. I will try and post some pictures in the morning.
