Thanks. Would that it were always in such good photo condition! The fact your house looks to be meticulously maintained, I’m sure the neighbor’s aren’t bothered by the sign.
HAHA! The "motor pool" is in the garage at the back of the property. Are the G503's behind the fence sir ?
I'm not seeing this in the photo. Does the tool next to the midget box have a wooden handle?Really cool Sheffield wood handle ratcheting screwdriver
What's the surprise? If it's visible, I'm missing it.1/4” drive set with a surprise hidden in it
Yeah, the ratcheting screwdriver next to the box is almost a laminated wood looking, Sheffield. The surprise I found was a sweet little Snap On ratchet mixed in with the rest of the cheap tools. I was pleased anyway.Thanks. Would that it were always in such good photo condition!

Wow. That's beautimous. And did not look like wood from afar. Oh, and a Snappy rat is a very nice surprise. Here’s some closer pics.

Snerk. This will make me stalking much easier.
Or the dropping off of orphan tools that need to go to a good home (just nothing post WWII).This will make me stalking much easier.
Was a long day, don't see a wagon to often.I see Corvair, so that's American (Chevrolet). Before my time, buy Wikipedia says very early 60s to have the Lakewood badge.
Rear engine, I'd have never, ever guessed that...

That's the truth! We get so used to someone posting a suckworthy haul that we sometimes forget that those are pretty unusual for any one person. Also, we don't always post the routine "skunkings". Case in point: I didn't post my stop at the ReStore on last Saturday with my daughter on the way to the auto parts store. She's 25 now and as big a bargain hunter as I am. I came away with nada from the tool section (this ReStore prices tools higher than a pawn shop). My daughter got a handheld electric kitchen mixer for $10.You can't hit it big every time.![]()
That’s a cool long roof and I noticed another corvair in the driveway
mystery tool = valve spring compressor (?)Checked out some primitive decor sales a week or two ago and actually found some interesting stuff. Left the clown photos, spray painted farm tools, and gutted radio cabinets behind but got these two lots.
Here's the pipe wrenches.
Olympia Power Grip set, didn't know they were orange when I seen them.
Dunlap 10 inch and Proto 14 inch
Iron City 10lb and a 14lb with the stamping worn off plus a coal pick with no visible stamp but a few numbers barely visible on the side.
Dunlap and Reed pipe vise's
Mystery tool, Allen socket is in the jaws to show it open. Think it might be a spring compressor but I have no clue. Handle goes forward and puts pressure on whatever is in the half circle jaws. Also no markings. Also Kingshead fabric shears, missing the nut but still in fair enough condition.
(Pic wouldn't upload, refer to vise pic. Tractor wrench is to the right by the pliers)
Another mystery tool, some type of tractor wrench probably. 1-1/4 male hex to 1-3/8 female, only marking is made in USA.
This lot was $13 bucks.
Second lot
Another mystery tool, looks to be some type of screw type wire tensioner tool, with no markings
Rigid telescopic basin wrench
No name needle nose pliers
Cornwell 9/16 offset wrench
Barcalo 7/8-25/32 doe wrench
McRaig Hatch Pliers
Cee Tee Co. pliers
SA2126 wrench
No name drop forged pliers
1893 marked odd pattern wrench
3/4-7/8 M in circle wrench
(Pic wouldn't upload again, coming soon)
Also the best find of the lot, a Snap On F714(palm ratchet). Had some dust and some scratches but internals were like new. Only needed a wipe down with a q-tip and some super lube and it's working like new.
This lot was $8 total.
Follow-up to Eagle 1903 safety cabinet from a couple weeks ago.
Extracted broken key with picks and a straightened fish hook.
Including new keys from Amazon - about $10 invested.
Flipped for significant profit.
Looks homemade to me.Mystery tool, Allen socket is in the jaws to show it open. Think it might be a spring compressor but I have no clue.
...and, they all have European lines, in my opinion. So did the original Datsun 2000.Was a long day, don't see a wagon to often.
