20" model...that's a fantastic drill press and a very good deal if you need a big powerful drill. I have the 15" version, and I think it's the best 'general purpose' drill of that size ever made.
Half hour east of Wash DC

CLAUSING DRILL PRESS - $250 (Lothian)

Looks gigantic.

WOW!

Wow is right! That's cheap too! Table isn't all ate up either. Do you think it's 3 phase?

Almost certainly. Put a cheap VFD on it and have digital variable speed on a 115v household outlet (since these don't have a ton of HP), or swap the motor out the (standard NEMA frame size) motor for single phase. Even a cheap static phase converter would work fine on this machine and then you could run it on a household 220v outlet (like a washing machine).

Yeah, that's the way my Oliver wood lathe is set up. 110 V VFD with reverse, speed pot, and plus still has the reeves drive.

Not quite Craigslist, but if you are near Seattle there's a beaut of a lathe/mill setup as well as a bunch of other tools here:

Wow, those are really nice. Replaceable die cutters, I'd think you could also use those as thread chasers?

$250 Burr King precursor, the MacCarthy SandMaster (Burr King bought their patents/plans in the early 1950's and started calling them BurrMaster, then later Burr CHief and Burr King). I'm tempted but I have 3 burr kings and I'm out of room.

A guard is missing on the top wheel (they often are missing), and you'll need a motor (they didn't sell them with motors until later). These early ones have a different belt tensioning mechanism than the later ratchet type, but no issues with it -- just takes an additional 5 seconds to change sanding belts.

Being right across the Potomac from me is awful dangerous with as many Craigslist deals as you find in this area.. why don’t you search Orlando or Phoenix areas for a while instead :ROFLMAO:

Well I hit that gator in Orlando even though it is SW Va., our daughter's family lives down there and we are going down in a couple of weeks for her baby shower (grandson due in Feb!) so I was perusing the stuff down there. Phoenix not so much!

Will have to keep tempting you if I can!

Have a very Merry Christmas!

You could always try texting like the ad says? Its not my lathe and I was not interested since I already have a 10" The ad was generic, I was the one who told the seller what it was.

Aren't the jaw supports broken away? I'm not sure.
