Those planes haven't been touched by me, however I do have my sights on the biplane for some custom work. I bought it at an auction

@ of those planes were up front on the shelf with the other pedal cars and wagons but just blended in . While building the wall the thought came to me that the 4 planes would look good lined up together on this wall.
This one plane was a gift from P.P.G. the paint company for letting them have there business party here.
It came from a fund raiser auction at SEMA for the MAKE A WISH foundation. It was painted up and donated for the auction by P.P.G. then bought back and given to me

Today we took the 55 to a tri five cruise to Down Town Old Temecula. I had Ann and one of my grandsons with me.
The only family member interested in cars. He was visiting from Los Vegas, so I took advantage of the cruise to get a little closer to the youngster (18) He's the one that worked on the 69 mach 1 with me before I gave it to him a couple of years ago.

The cruise met at Tom's farm before parading down the 15 freeway

No pic,s yet but I've been busy getting the party garage cleaned up after all the new construction.
We are hosting a banquette in the garage tomorrow night.
A program sponsored by the Mormon church called "JUST SERVE" is a nation wide project that has a committee in every county across the US that find and help the less fortunate people of their communities.
The committee in our area contacted me a while back and asked if I would open the garage for them to honor a few folks in our area that have gone way beyond to assist this effort of helping. So tomorrow night will be a B I G party for a group of charitable folks that will be honored by the leaders of our community
So with that the garage must be in top shape. We are opening both the diner and ice cream parlor for feeding this group.
We are expecting around 80 people so it will be a very manageable group

The banquet came off without a hitch. My friends all pitched it all worked hard and our guests were all fed burgers from the diner and ice cream sundaes. The banquet was over by 9PM but the last visitors were still here enjoying the garage well after 10


Here is the place as we waited for guests to arrive


We had to move some of the cars out of the parking area so I put these 2 in front of our new wall



The crowd started showing up around 6:30



By 8 PM all were fed and the program started





The 2 most popular attractions were the 30's Pennzoil garage and Ann's country store

I spent the day at the Pomona fair grounds yesterday. The NHRA drags are running.
I left my phone home so I failed to get any pic's.
I was invited to bring the corvette out and put it in the winners circle with all the other hot rod trophy winning cars.

Thinking that eating glucose powder is a treat, is so interesting to me. As a Type1 diabetic, I have eaten a lot of glucose tablets over the years to remediate low blood sugar levels and they are far from tasty.
They are nasty, chalky and not even sweet tooth satisfying.
Of course you eat them when you are shaky, breaking out in a sweat and about to pass out, so that may have something to do with it.

Changing gears again. But still working in my shop is most enjoyable for me.
As I mentioned earlier when I pulled the C.O.E back into the shop, My music buddy was coming to work on it.
Well it started today. We pulled the body back off the frame because the wheels in front wouldn't fit the wheel opening and the fix will be putting a different frame under this truck.
So the body came off, the motor removed and the frame pulled out of the shop

I agree this frame will work well for this project + there are a few goodies that I can use out of the coach like the generator

Yes the motor home has a wood deck that must come off before I put a roll back bed on it. The front end will hopefully have the existing wiring in tack after we get the other cab on this chassis

Today's progress was a little light. being friday and a long week we missed out target today. We only got 1/2 the floor pealed off the chassis
and no dump run but tomorrow I am bringing Jose my helper in to help get the coach stripped and the chassis in the shop.
He spent the day today putting up Christmas lights.
