Green is way more visible. That said, I would get neither. Heupar is well regarded and has some great 360 degree options
Any specific model I should look into? Just researching right now, I actually got the GLL 3-15 then saw the GLL 100 and. Now can’t decide.

The 3-15 has a accuracy of +\- 3\16 in 30' so in 30' it can be out a good bit. The 100 has a touch better accuracy but it will eat batteries because its green.

I have the gll100gx, it works great, have had no issues with it. I bought the tripod and it has been a great addition.

This is one of those categories where the tech is moving faster then the traditional companies can keep up. IMO you are left with a couple of options:

1- buy a brand you trust while paying top dollar and potentially older tech

2- buy into ultra high-end brands that are on the forefront of the tech, with a price to match

3- buy a lesser known brand with no real history of quality but has likely some of the newest tech at a very affordable price

It makes sense with these to consider warranty, so perhaps a retailer or manufacture with a good warranty policy is a prudent choice.

Personally I opted for a #3 option, Huepar, decent quality and they are on the front edge of consumer lasers right now.

This is all for indoor, DIY stuff? Probably any one of them would work.

I bought a PLS 480 when I was finishing out my addition, but was going out about 60' to get a level line. I've noticed on the less expensive models the line becomes really thick beyond around 30'; a 1" blurry red line as a level is not too precise in my use.
The more expensive models maintain a well defined line.

I been to commercial interior jobsites and usually see guys using Bosch, DeWalt, PLS and other high end brands. They are usually using them in the 30' to 90' range.

The green is always better for outdoor use but battery life is shorter.

I saw a super high-end residential job where the light layout was really complicated. The lighting guy used stringlines for his layout to identify light conflict with other trades. Low-tech, but it worked.

I would look at dewalt or hilti, i have both and the guys seem to like dewalt best, plus the rechargeable battery pack is very convenient. Dewalt has taken a big segment of the market and there laser’s are well made to take abuse. Also make sure you can use a detector with it really helps when in bright conditions.

Tarbellb and Mike 93lx have it right with the Heupar, of course model numbers/features change a bit but lots of info posted below.

Mike93lx - when you have a 3x(or 4x) x 360 laser, you can set the beams where they intersect on the floor, the beam will intersect on the ceiling, effectively the same function as the plumb dots. I would not buy a laser ,specifically for the dots.

what do you guys think about this? at least it have LCD screen .... this is the analysis paralysis part....

Do I needed a 12 line laser 16 line laser ?

If you think even have the slightest chance of using it outdoors you really ought to consider getting the corresponding laser finder.

ALL lasers suffer considerably in the sunlight, only a finder will work for that environment.

Check out this thread where I broke down which laser I got and why, might be helpful. Hint- keep it simple

I think you will be very happy with the Heupar. That laser is pretty versatile, with the 4th (lower) beam you can put a line much closer to the floor than I can with any of my lasers. Currently I have a Dewalt crossbeam in 3aa battery,DW088CG and one in 12v-DW088LG ,and the Hilti PM-30MG. Here's my real world measuring chart:
ON THE GROUND ON HUEPAR ADJ BRKTON HILTI BRACKET
Dewalt 12V Crossbeam 2-15/16" 6-1/8"4-7/8"
DEWALT CROSSBEAM 3AA2"5-1/8"3-15/16"
HILTI PM-305-1/16"N/A6-15/16"
