Does this mean you're finally going to start those closet built-ins you teased back on page 6?
Oh how I wish! The plywood for that is leaning up against the garage wall and a constant reminder of that project having not been started yet. It was actually going to be a project for a week off in January full of garage time....however with the recent medical situation arising with the father in law I expect that all major new projects are going to be put off for awhile
On that front, we did get some good news that father in law has a lymphoma variant which is good news compared to what the doctor's initially thought, but it's still cancer and this is one of those "less bad" scenario's. A particularly fun part we'll get to deal with is the chemo he'll be on requires hospital admission after the infusion until some value in the blood drops below a given threshold, could be a day after the infusion, could be 4 or 5 days. So we'll have a patient who doesn't handle sitting still well, with basically 0 indoor hobbies besides watching tv, has an irrational hatred of laptop computers(claims only "the kids" can use them and he uses a desktop all day at work) stuck in a hospital for an undefined time....should be fun
I wouldn’t hesitate using the rail hangers as is.
And I didn't! Took a bit of work with a chisel to clean up a couple tight fit spots but definitely looking forward to using it
The Makita logo being upside is annoying, but I prefer the anti-splinter strip up vs being down and it being rested on so the logo is upside down
Edit: I clicked a few things wrong and didn't get the "current state" pictures into the post so fixing that. Couple "as is" shots of the garage for transparency and to remind me down the road of progress and that I need fewer flat surfaces lol
A little shelf/ledge project that got glued up this afternoon while I was "banished" from the house during nap time as she wrapped stuff. Probably the most enjoyable 2 hours I've had in a long time! Said it should happen more often
I really need to find a home for the remaining desktops. I've been putting off hauling them to the basement cause they're heavy and I don't have a significantly better spot for them there....but they're more in the way where they are now then in the basement so I need to just get it done and move on.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!
