Well, I would normally say Merry Christmas. However, today is Merry SKmas! The rattle when I shook the box turned out to be a TON of SK! four.cycle, thank you so much, man oh man this was one hell of a surprise and definitely hits my soft spot for SK. And with the Vermont American drill bit set being in a red case, everything is Christmas colored too! :D

Merry Christmas everyone, enjoy the company of your family and have a great holiday. :)

Thank you vwpieces! The gift of light! My wife has stolen the S2+. The charger and extra batteries are a great idea as well. We have just been swapping them out as needed. The C8 has a malfunction, but I'm going to try to see what I can do. Thanks again, and Merry Christmas to a fellow Pennsylvanian!

Welcome and Merry Christmas
The Custom built C8 and S2+ come with a Lifetime Warranty
Even of driven over by a Tank.

I'll pay the shipping on the C8, both ways.

It seems like Secret Santa four.cycle has been busy this Christmas season. In my case the surprise was overwhelming. A box so large that the mail carrier had trouble bringing it up the stairs arrived last week and it was difficult to follow the clear instructions not to open until Christmas. I think the pictures will tell the story. The Kennedy navy box is in excellent condition. BK, thanks so much. Have a wonderful Christmas. 7B137F4B-C187-4E35-A1F5-D5A27B08AB77.jpegB3F7478A-7821-489F-8D78-261B631F1129.jpeg4CF3E0A0-1708-4EF0-8C88-87B7CDF23EAD.jpeg538347BB-834F-4261-BE56-E3FD116343D3.jpegA1F744CC-FA8B-4BAD-8569-EBF2365C22D2.jpeg7B45B13A-9F14-4086-B1EB-3C781CE07AD3.jpeg

@d42jeep -

REALLY glad that box made it there unscathed - sorry about all the trash packing material but I was getting desperate there and didn't want it to get squooshed (like that other TRW drawered bin that's lost out there somewhere). I snipped the padlock off because it was only banging up the box.
Where do you suppose that guy found that 1/4" square drive adapter? Ever seen a widget like that?
Glad to see the box didn't get rained on. I was going to apply a fixative but it changes the appearance of the gold gouache somethin' awful and makes the surface shiny.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all the GJSS. My secret santa was Shocker and he sent me some great gifts. A unique little pair of offset snips is actually a tool i dont have. I need the bag for some Lions Club stuff and its even the right color. Pocket knife and stickers from SMKW (near Dollywood). Little stubby wide mouth crescent and some drill bits. Great stuff. Maybe the most thoughtfull thing was a wrapped gift of bubble bomb bubble bath soaps for Mrs. Dozerhand. We're keeping it small this year due to some health issues and the Mrs. was blown away by the gift. Thanks again Shocker and see you all on this thread next year.20221224_192938.jpg

Thanks much ckadams00! Awesome Wera precision screwdriver set, 747-8 engine mug, at-at 3d model (yay star wars!), some goo to help clean/detail, a Starret caliper, lanyard from the museum of flight in Seattle, sharpies galore, and a nice note in the card. Merry Christmas sir!

First things first,

Huge shoutout to @GJSS for all of the work behind the scenes with everything. This is such an awesome tradition and I'm honored to have been able to take advantage of participating this year!

Turns out @stonesfan68 was my GJSS this year, and I can't thank him enough, he definitely knocked it out of the park. Thank you for the kind words in the enclosed card!

Box contents:

Vintage Crafstman vicegrips- These things are in great condition and will fit right at home in the box, I'm a sucker for repurposed and vintage tools so these are right up my alley.

Micro Flush cutters- can't ever have enough of these! My dad used to always sprinkle pens or markers around his garage, while I still do the same, I'm fairly certain I have more of these micro dikes spread throughout than anything else. I've been lacking a dedicated set for my portaband/drill press area so these have already been employed.

Knipex twingrip pliers- Does anything else need to be said here? Knipex red for Christmas is like a German hug in a box. Can't wait to put these to use!

Tekton stubby- I actually don't have any stubby's in the race trailer yet, so this has a home waiting as well! Good feel and super convenient to swap back and forth.

Carlyle 10mm assortment- Can't lie, every time I come across these I get a good chuckle, but I've never purchased one myself. I don't typically have an issue with tools walking off.. however not going to lie I am somewhat concerned with this concentrated of an assortment of 10mms!... Might need to install a toddler drawer alarm on my socket drawer just to be sure, unless I drill some holes in each and safety wire them together.. might be on to something here!

Klein Tools bottle opener- Can confirm, the operation does not disappoint, very smooth and the grip ensures positive traction on the tool throughout the process. This will make me chuckle every time I'm reaching for a cold one, which happen to be more bottles than cans anyways!

Thanks again Andrew, Merry Christmas!

Tibor your generosity overwhelms me. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas to you, your family and all the GJ family as well. Wishes are for a safe and better 2023. Thanks GJSS for putting on another wonderful Secret Santa.
My SS sent a very nice Motovera Laser Level, it will get a lot of use. A Wera fine tooth (absolutely love the fine tooth design) ratcheting screwdriver which is almost to nice to put in my tool box (gonna have to try to keep Mrs. Cat away from this one.} and a Tortuga Kentucky Bourbon Butter cake. :cool:IMG_1820.jpgIMG_1819.jpg

Thanks to Oggy for my awesome gift! This is my first year participating and I am blown away.

IMG-4429.jpg

You can never have too many flashlights or parts tray. Going to hang the Milwaukee flag and Chase Elliott mug somewhere in the shop.

The funny thing about the monster truck kit is that I built this exact one with my 2 year old a few weeks ago. Since then he keeps asking for another one so we can both have one when we play. Perfect!

There was no story on the flag so hopefully Oggy can fill me in there. Regardless, I think I want to build a display case for it.

Thanks again!

Big Thanks to Kaervak for the gifts. He included a great note (something I meant to do but didn’t accomplish this year).
- Malleys Chocolates (Cleveland Ohio area icon)
- Defiant brand flex light (he highly recommends)
- Wall clock from a retired ambulance (very cool even if it doesn’t keep accurate time, hope it’s not haunted 😆 )
- guidesman rechargable flashlight
- John Deere bottle opener
- Klein tech screwdriver (I use precision screwdrivers all the time but none this nice).
- Channellock Pick Set (again I use picks all the time and this US made set is a a much appreciated upgrade).
- a couple license plates to add to my wall art collection.

I feel like I’m missing something, but appreciate all the gifts.

Thanks again Jon

I'm not sure who my SS was, but thanks for the awesome DeWalt rack! Now I just need to decide which color to paint it (or to use clear coat).
I'm glad you like it and it got to you on time. I had originally planned to make you a similar one out of stainless at work but we are so backed up I wasn't sure how long it would take for the waterjet department to get it cut.

I had a warning on Aug18 that four.cycle was plotting to add to my hoard, and despite my not registering on this thread, and despite the big friendly letters on the box stating that the contents was not Secret Santa, I held off (as directed by the same letters) from opening it until 4am EST today, just before catching a flight. Happy schemes for de-rusting this cute little Bonney Champion vise danced through my head all the way to Puerto Rico! (Better not fret: Santa had already cleared the east coast prior to takeoff.)
Thanks, Brian!

That Carlyle 10mm assortment is sweet. I almost pulled the trigger on the HF one but wasn't sure if I'd need it more than 10 times :D

Thanks man! It actually made it ahead of time (Dixon isn't far from here). That is the perfect gift for me lol. I just need to figure out where to put it :D

This time of year nothing shocks me we. It went from rain to sleet to snow so fast here in Memphis it was unreal. The wife looked out the front door and saw sleet then went to the back door to see how the outside kitties were doing and it was snowing. Like Tx. it looks like snow people freak out. Hope my pics did justice, Thanks again they will be used. Oh and Mrs. Cat doesn't like bourbon.

My SS remains a secret but obviously was paying attention or reading my mind. I’m building w stealth camper van that we plan on using for some major road tips.
I knew I needed to put together a tool kit for the van and it needed to be compact and versatile. My SS got me started in the right direction with a great compact tool bag filled with the essential things I never think of.

Thanks so much to my SS for remembering the things I usually forget.

Merry Christmas GJ and my SS

I ended up with a very cool vintage compass, maybe it will point me in the right direction for 2023? ;)

Also got a nice leatherman tool and a shiny SK 19mm (and yes I will use it on 3/4” as well). The Pennsylvania license plate has a 77 sticker on it, but I would have guessed it was new, I will add it to my collection. Thanks a ton BK, hope you enjoy your gift.E3333800-CF87-4013-B6B3-6E683A62EDD6.jpeg

Pardon my French, but holy ****! I hit the GJSS jackpot! I have no idea who my GJSS was, as they aren't identified in the package, but I was gifted a TON of great Astro tools!

I received three awesome ratchets - a 1/4" drive long handle, a 3/8" drive in a long 1/4" ratchet body, and a 1/2" drive in a 3/8" ratchet body!

On top of that I received high vis sets of 1/4" and 3/8" drive sockets in both shallow and deep and in standard and metric... that's 8 sets of sockets! 8 freakin' sets! And a set of pinless universal joint impact adapters!

I also was gifted two sweet lights! One is the rechargeable slim light and the other is a dual beam mini flood light! Those will come in super handy as my shop is a bit of a cave.

Finally, I received a digital tire inflator with stainless hose and push-lock coupler!

I have some Astro tools and have always been happy with the quality. They have a reputation for great quality and these look to be every bit as good! I am really looking forward to putting these tools to work and I have no doubt they are going to be trusty companions for many, many years to come!

To my GJSS, whoever you are, you have knocked it outta the park, outta the parking lot, and outta the damn state! You have my never-ending gratitude! I hope you and yours have holidays as happy as you've made mine! Merry Christmas to you!

Mikeb27 is helping to feed the coffee addiction, 2 more flavors from Black Rifle coffee to sample, the sugar cookie goes well with Apple Cider Donut holes. The Milwaukee mug is one I actually looked at, now it’s in my possession. The hat is quite warm, the extra lining by the ears rocks. The gummies will be a nice movie night snack with the daughter, I’ve never tried this kind. Thanks very much, all greatly appreciated items, and nice talking points with friends. its always cool talking about the GJSS with people not in the know.

And a special thanks to those that organize this every year, without your assistance, time and support none of this would be possible. Merry Christmas everyone!
Glad that you enjoyed everything and that you were actually looking at picking up the Milwaukee tumbler. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Thank you to J.Bullfrog for the great secret Santa gift. The vampire pliers have been on the list to pick up for a while, and the flashing is perfect for my work bag so I don’t have to rely on my phone flashlight. My boys both love the pens, and they also took some of the stickers as well. And I love those HJE screwdrivers. Thank you again!
