I'm kind of a n00b when it comes to the stogies but I've enjoyed a few different ones from Acid.

Scotch, I can take or leave. I'll certainly sip on it when provided but don't purchase it to keep on hand.

Bourbon and rye are my tasty treats. A glass of Makers Mark is a wonderful thing. Been quite some time since I kept a bottle of rye around but I believe my brand of choice a few years back was Rittenhouse.

Gin is good too but if I'm not careful it is a night-ender.

I like Glenlivet and have a bottle of Dewar's Alberfeldy I got at the source in Scotland. Saving that for when the bar is complete.
Cigars I like mild such as La Gloria Cubana.

That 12 year Lagavulin 2009 cask strength is my all time favorite. My local shop had a few cases at $60 a bottle and I grabbed two, just so I could put one away. I should go back for another if they have any left.

Macallan 12 year is some good stuff.
I've not much experience with Rye, but Jim Beam Rye is OK to me.
Dalwhinnie scotch is nice.

My favorite is Bookers. It's a small batch Bourbon whiskey from Jim Beam. Expensive, as compared to other JB offerings - $50/60 for 750ml. Neat only, no ice or mixers to spoil the smooth heat of this 125 proof liquor.

For me, one of the added benefits of this liquor is I never have to worry about the bottle emptying itself at one of my parties. I don't let the bartender mix it with anything for my guests - if they want something "with Coke", that what Jack Daniels is for... If they want some, they can have some, but they have to drink like the host. 125 proof neat scares off all but the most determined imbibers.

Smoking - I love the smell of a good cigar or pipe. Being asthmatic, I would never partake myself.

I spy some Cuban Cohiba’s...

Not a Scotch Drinker yet, I think it is an acquired taste. Bourbon is my poison; Knob Creek and Maker’s Mark are my two favorites. Also like Jack Daniels, although it is a Tennessee, to mix with 7-up.

I like anything that is of a lighter taste, smaller diameter and lighter leaf from the Domincan Republic or Cuba. Of course I only smoke the Cuban's while out of the country...

Love my whiskey. Scotch, Irish, Bourbon, Sour Mash, even Canadian. Good stuff.

I got a bottle of Old Forrestor the other day in one of those gift box sets. Came with the bottle, a fancy glass and a copy of the 21st amendment. It was too awesome to pass up. Plus, it's 100 proof. I've been on a 100 proof kick lately, mainly knob creek. Anybody got a good recommendation for something else in that proof range? Looking into Bookers currently. Little hotter than I normally like, but looks like it's worth trying!

As for cigars, yeah, I've got a few of those too, just not the photo-worthy stash everybody else has shown. Love Conneticuts, Maduros, and Habanos. Not crazy about cameroon wrappers though. Notable favorites include:

La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial
Most of the 5Vegas line
Ghurka makes some good stuff
Drew Estate's Toback Especial - It replaced the Kaluha cigars. Only flavored thing I like.
Nub - maduro and habano are great, but I especially like the conneticut! Do yourself a favor and try these.
Padron - 1926 and 1964 are both good (when I can afford one!)

Good stuff! I'm now daydreaming at my desk about a good smoke and a glass of perfection on the rocks...

Friend of mine gave me a partial bottle of Lagavulin 16 cause he didn't like it. I had never tried it before and was worried since he didn't like it.
Wow, it was effin' great! That bottle is gone and needs to be replaced now.
Oh, and I have been smoking up a box of Fuente Double Chateau's lately. life is good.

"The Frog" is a good scotch. I do like tequila, though, especially Corazon and Corralejo, and nothing blanco. I recently tried Xalixco, and found it okay, too. Xalixco also works okay in Margaritas.

My wife prefers Vodka, especially Three Olives Triple Espresso and Ginger.

We don't smoke anything but tires.

Scotch- no Johnny Walker Blue Label drinkers!?!?

Johnny Walker Blue is what people who don't know anything about scotch drink so they can impress other people who don't know anything about scotch.



It's not a terrible blend, but it's more hype than substance.

Strider, you make a good point. At the last bar I worked at we had 1 regular customer that would order JWB. Many times I would sell a shot to non scotch drinkers who thought they needed to spend 25 bucks on something so they could impress someone. Then they would piss and moan about how much it sucked. And truth be told , they would admit to not being a scotch drinker.
