Neighbor wanting to build close or on my property.

OP; don't put any iron/steel pins in the ground - it could very easily be a confusing issue for future property owners and surveyors. In wooded areas you can put up steel fence posts around the buried iron pin (stay off the property line so somebody can get a shot on the pin later and measure to...

Vice in 1-car garage? Possible without a large table/bench?

I bought a 3.5" Craftsman vise back in the early '80s that I'm still using. When we got the current house, it had the required steel guard pipe bolted down in front of the furnace/water heater in the garage. At the time I didn't have a work bench in there, so I made a pattern for a mounting...

What is this and who made it?

'The also made 1911's.' Singer made 500 M1911A1s on a 'demonstration order' by the government. The few that have been accounted for now are worth about $50,000 each.

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

Same cart as Moose Landtran. It's my oil change cart. Harbor Freight or Homier I think.

    Air Compressor

Whatever happened, it's blowing air today. I found that I did have the regulator turned down but I have used it several times in that position. Possibly it was a freak ice formation. Anyway, I opened the regulator so it probably won't happen again. I think I failed to mention I had about 70 psi...

    Toyota Spring Hose Clamps

+1, and may I add I learned this the hard way, thinking many years ago that the shiny new stainless steel screw clamp MUST be better than the crummy old OE spring clamp. I'm hard-headed, so it did take me ten years of constantly re-tightening hose clamps to stop leaks to get the picture. I...

    Air Compressor

Here's my rig. I think it dates to 1979. Like I said, I put the regulator on it after I got it from the late FIL's garage.

    Worn out phillips regrind service?

Are regular Phillips screwdrivers hardened at the tip? If they are, and you dress the tip back and remake it, it's going to wear out again faster. Like already said, the best thing is to use the hardened tips with the multi-use sets. I doubt that it could possibly be cost-effective to pay...

    Air Compressor

Ice: It was 55F, but it was very humid - sort of spitting rather than actually raining. So I guess there is a possibility - high-velocity air, etc.

    Air Compressor

That's what I was trying to say in a long-winded way. It's a cheapo anyway but I have been using it for ten years.

How may Cman ratchets been warrantied?

Although I don't really understand the meaning of the word 'warrantied' as used in the OP, I think it means 'having been returned to Sears for replacement'. I have taken two back but they didn't replace them - I was given a rebuild kit each time that worked fine, which is what I preferred...

    Air Compressor

Hey, guys, I have an older Craftsman 25 gal compressor in great shape that runs great. I got it out this morning to pump up some tires because the weather turned sharply cooler. I did the pickup first then started on a crossover ute; on the 4th tire I ran out of air, so I re-started the...
