    Craftsman 506 51810

I found this Craftsman 506 with 5" jaws at an estate. As you can see a jaw insert is broken. Is there any source for replacement or a custom maker? Thanks in advance.

    Arm and Hammer anvil

SilverDeck Thanks for taking the time to look up the serial number. It is very much appreciated. As mentioned, rebound is good over the center of the anvil.....a little less so over the horn and rear of the anvil. I assume this is somewhat normal?? And yes, arc welded at the waist.

    Vintage Ridgid 48" pipe wrench

I am in charge of an estate. Been gathering up stuff and pricing for a yard/garage/farm sale. In a pile of junk I found this 48" Ridgid pipe wrench. Other than needing a cleanup, it functions fine. No demerits I can see. Does a wrench of this size have any extra value? What is 48 incher...

    Arm and Hammer anvil

I came across this Arm and Hammer anvil recently. Does anyone have a copy of "Anvils in America" by Postman or from any other source that can date this? The serial number appears to be 47049 and weight appears to be 152 lbs. The anvil has seen some hard use but rebound is good yet.

    water hydrant in new build

While the hydrants may be rebuildable from the top things can still go wrong. I live in a cold climate where the self draining is vital. I noticed one of mine was not doing that this summer. Figured better look into it before winter so just dug it up by hand. Found the drain hole was clogged...

    30'X50' pole barn picture request...

Here is my 40x48 with 12 foot wings. I love the wings. Cheapest storage space there is. Overall 64x48'. I have a little crawler tractor and my wheel tractor is chained up all winter. The wings graveled and are great places to store the tractors. Inside I also utilize wings for...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I picked up this 4 1/2" Wilton yesterday for $80. It is a Chicago marked version. The date on the slide is 3-47, which if I have understood correctly from other postings on this thread, translates to a March of 1942 manufacture date. Still has quite a bit of what I assume to be original...

    Pole building 40x48 with wings

This past spring, I contracted a pole building to be built on my property. Dimensions were 40 feet wide by 48 feet deep. A 16x14 garage door was installed along with 5” of concrete. My initial planned use of the building was primarily for farm equipment and vehicle storage. This past...

Bondo to fix nicks in Vise retore

I picked up an old large American Scale Co. vise that carries a number of battle scars. Has anyone used bondo to fill these scars prior to primer and paint? Did the bondo hold up under normal use?
