    Face shield?

Get one that has a guard under the chin. Stuff can bounce off your upper body and get beneath otherwise. Here is one example. http://www.labsource.com/Catalog/Group.aspx?GroupID=2508

Where can you get grinding stones for carbide?

The wheel is green in color, called a green wheel. They work very very well. http://www.travers.com/bench-and-pedestal-green-silicon-carbide-grinding-wheels/p/105547/ For a really fine final finish people use a diamond wheel, that is a lot more money, not needed if sharpening carbide drill bits.

If the City gave that to me free with no taxes I would pledge to supply fresh organs and corneas to the local transplant center at no charge. I bet I would lower the crime rate as well.

How to replace bronze bearings / bushings?

LOL I see your point. To me that is a very nice looking saw. I would suggest oiling all these bushings and running the saw to determine if there is really a problem in operation BEFORE going Lizzy Borden on it.

Some one will be by shortly to tell you why this is wrong, but if you are going to standardise on a plug, I suggest a 30 amp plug. Put in the the 10 ga wire now and sleep in peace forever. One can get a great deal on 3 PH equipment, the 30 amp will be helpful in future to run the rotary...
