I used a laser level that projects a vertical line. I looked at from the side off and on while drilling. Helped reassure me one axis was good.

Put it in the glide block backwards? The hole is not centered.

I've never had a chance to work on a car up on a lift . It looks like it would be a lot nicer way to work. Have you had a chance to try it and compare?

Great site. Moving into a another house and I'm planning a purpose built detached garage for automotive work. It will be limited by code to about 20'X30". I'm looking for ideas and suggestions how to get it right the first time. I am wondering if a lift is worth the effort.
