Stuck Axle Nut Help, Possible to Snap Stud off CV Axle??

I've taken a thousand or more cv axle nuts off with a 1/2 inch air impact, however always used one made by ingersoll, they are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Last one I got off the Cornwell truck was five hundred dollars. Their newest version is the same money but now has...

Running wheel hub bearing without CV shaft?

The nut on the cv shaft sets the bearing pre load. Driving it without the torque load of the nut it'll make a lot of noise. If you have an old outer cv shaft end you could torque the nut on the now dummy shaft and isolate your noise.

    Mohawk lift

Except when you have an 11,000 pound service pickup on a Mohawk lift rated at 9,000 pounds. Mohawk lift is far and away heavier built than any rotary lift.

20 mm is needed for the old inline fuel filters on general motors products. Also for the fittings on the fuel pumps at the fuel tank.

    Butcher Block treatment

How on earth did you get it in the kitchen? My mom has one of those that she wants put in her kitchen and it was heavy for a skid steer loader to pick up.

    Parts cleaners

I just use diesel fuel in mine, it's a whole lot cheaper. Just have to spray parts off with brake clean to remove the oily residue. Maybe it isn't a whole lot cheaper, I haven't priced mineral spirits in a long time.

I just use plain old transmission fluid, light weight oil and lots of detergents in it. Works quite well for me.

    Propane price guesses?

I just paid 2.27 a gallon with sales tax. If you can buy propane for 1.80 a gallon, I'd jump on it before it goes up.
