    Original ratchet wrench

I hate to be this guy but who made them? I’m not talking about ratchets for sockets, but box end combination wrenches. They weren’t forged, and the company had a lot of speciality products. I can’t remember their former name or the new name. I’ve got about an over an hour of searching invested...

    Socket adapters

The one by Cheater Wrench is the one I found as well. They offer free shipping but oddly charge tax, but less than $22. Keep in mind that disclaimer is for using it with their torque myltplier.

    Socket adapters

Does anyone know of a 1 inch ratchet to 1/2 inch socket adapter? I found a company that makes torque multipliers selling one but was hoping for a name brand tool. I could just use two adapters but that could get in the way. Im working on a trade for a 1 inch drive Proto ratchet.

    Sae, what's the point?

I own and work older stuff. I wouldn't care if SAE was 100% obesolete I'd keep them. How many guys collect those old odd drive size tools, or those really odd old SAE sizes? I own a '75, '82, '94, and '03 model vehicles. Except for the '03, my vehicles have SAE. My '94 has both so that's lots of...

    Gearwrench

I work at a store that sells them, mostly Taiwan. Ratcheting wrenches are from China though. It's just one of several brands APEX has.

    Armstrong S-92 1/2 Drive 15" Long Ratchet

I know this is old but I just acquired one of these for free and thought I'd say I'm a bit hooked on old ratchets. It was seized up solid, soaked it in transmission fluid for a day and took it apart. Wiped everything out and the pieces are soaking. Everything looks to be in good shape.

Pawn Shop Score - BluePoint box, IR grinder and tubing cutter.

I once found an Armstrong 1 inch drive breaker bar for $45, they had an Evercraft for the same price too. Didn't have the money and went back a few days later. They were gone.

    Ratchet lubrication info for video...

I've only ever took one ratchet apart, 1/2 inch Proto. I cleaned it and covered the internals with wheel bearing grease. Ratchet wouldn't work. I read of people using thin oils, I didn't think that was a good idea so I tried 140 weight. It leaks out.

serious mechanics don't use Craftsman, you say?

I have the last two weeks of my spare time getting my tools back in order. I left a bunch laying loose with the last few cars and I've acquired a bunch of random used stuff as well. I have a lot of Craftsman and I don't have a problem with the US stuff. Perfect entry level tool. You'll break...
