    Septic tank pumping interval?

Our township requires any on-lot septic tanks to be pumped every 4 years. They have a rotating schedule by location and send out letters when it is our year to be pumped. The driver that does the work is required to file a copy of the pumping invoice with the township as proof of compliance...

Workbench build - flea market cabinets and bowling alley lane

I had never heard of the brand "Hamilton Safe," but I am impressed with the build quality. They have full extension drawer slides and quite heavy gage steel construction.

Workbench build - flea market cabinets and bowling alley lane

I bought mine when a local bowling alley went out of business and the new owner was salvaging everything. If you can get a piece with the arrow marks, they should be maple. The rest of the length of the lanes (the pieces I got) are more likely to be southern yellow pine.

Workbench build - flea market cabinets and bowling alley lane

Firebrick is right. 7" widths of 3/4 plywood at 90 degrees to the back - these are glued and screwed to the back and joined to the bowling alley with Kreg screws. This really stiffened up the back of the bench and should keep it perfectly vertical.

Workbench build - flea market cabinets and bowling alley lane

Here is a project I finished up over the weekend. I found these 2 cabinets at the flea market at GM Carlisle. I thoought they would make a nice starting point for a workbench to place in front of my lift and store many of the most used tools for automotive repairs. 3/4 plywood for the...

I'm missing something. Excel is turnkey and simple. If you also have a M365 account, the file can be cloud based and you can access it from the Excel phone app.

    Priming new drywall

I did the exact opposite when I painted our house. Sprayed the primer and rolled the topcoats. This was new construction - at that point electrical was at rough in, and the floors were OSB subfloor only. The house is just under 3,000 sq. ft. total, 2 stories. I spent one evening after work...

    Advantage / Backyard buddy disassembly

I believe you will want to start the disassembly with the runways all the way down to remove tension from the cables. You will need to remove the nuts at the cable ends where they go through the plates at the top of the posts. Then you will snake the cable back through the pulleys and wrap...

Can I add rigid foamboard over attic floor?

In my pole barn I have spread web trusses with OSB flooring on the top surface of the bottom chord. From underneath, faced R19 was added prior to steel liner panels with the vapor barrier facing the room below. I would like to add additional insulation on the top side of the OSB by adding 2...

Question on rigid foam board over attic floor OSB

I have a question regarding adding more insulation above my attic floor. I have steel liner panels for ceiling in my pole barn, with poly vapor barrier under the steel stapled to the trusses. In the center of the trusses, I have OSB flooring (spread web trusses allowing for 7' head clearance)...
